    When you travel halfway around the world, navigate the London Underground for the first time, and are jet-lagged; that is not the time to find out that you're host never did their job requesting payment for your accommodation so you have no way to get in to your rental. Hanging out on the cracked and crumbling steps to the building, we had to wait on hold while the third party manager got ahold of the second party who got ahold of the non-existent host who finally decided that they had never even taken my credit card payment or requested it (but this was my fault somehow). After we finally got in, we climbed the three flights of drunken stairs to the small studio and found that a lot of things didn't work. Being as we were only there for 3 nights and after we had wasted so much time sorting out the payment, we didn't have the patience to deal with that as well. We later figured out a breaker needed to be tripped, et cetera et cetera. There were no wash cloths or hand towels, and the kitchen was pretty meagerly stocked. If you can make it to the top of all the stairs with your luggage, the view was quite lovely and the neighborhood is stellar, which was this place's saving grace.This flat is NOT for those who aren't physically fit or of large stature, as we're average folks and could barely turn around in the tiny bathroom.

    NO Communication from "Host"

    I booked this place several weeks in advance of an international trip and had reached out several times upon booking to get check-in information. NEVER received any response other than a note that I'd receive check-in information 3 days prior to my check-in date. NEVER received any communication then. Since VRBO was still showing as booked, I went to the apartment the day of check-in and there was still NO COMMUNICATION. Perhaps it worked out for the best as the entryway to this flat was lined with trash/garbage along the steps and sidewalk. It wasn't until several days after I was supposed to check in that I finally got a notice from VRBO that the host cancelled my booking. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, MONEY, FRUSTRATION, AND BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT CAN ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE AND CLEAN-UP THE SURROUNDINGS.

    Tolle Lage, leider sehr abgewohnt

    Wir hatten tolle Tage in London. Die Wohnung sah wie auf den Bildern aus. Leider gab es keine Heizung und die Fenster waren auch nicht richtig dicht. Das Bad ist wirklich klein, was größere Menschen vor der Buchung wissen sollten. Das Haus, in dem die Wohnung ist, ist leider in einem schlechten Zustand (für London wahrscheinlich gar nicht so unüblich?). Die Tür zum Dach fehlte, so dass es dort reinregnete. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter vor und während des Aufenthalts war super. Es wurde umgehend geantwortet.
