Rugabella Rialto, elegant apartment near the Rialto Bridge in the heart of Sestiere San Polo in Venice.



The apartment is on the second floor of a building without elevator. The living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as a dining table and sofa. The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and a third with two single beds. Two bathrooms with shower and hairdryer complete the layout.



*The building is currently subject to renovation and painting. Due to these renovation works, there could be some noise during the day.



*The building is not equipped with an elevator.



*Guests can access the accommodation via a numeric code, which they can obtain only after completing the online registration of their IDs, signing the digital rent agreement, and paying the tourist tax via a payment link they will receive a few days before arrival. The code will be active starting from 3 p.m.



Known throughout the world as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.

It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.

Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.

The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.

The most famous local event is definitely the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.

Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns where to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.



The accommodation is approximately 1.5 km from the Venice Santa Lucia train station.

Family of 5 with 3 boys 21,20 & 14Plenty of space. We didn’t cook or use the kitchen at all. Not much space to sit around, but we really didn’t have time to just sit around. Everything was clean and the location was PERFECT!

BEWARE We were thrilled to visit Venice for the first time and began our trip with sightseeing and a lovely visit to Murano Island (highly recommend!).When we arrived at the apartment, it was relatively easy to find. However, we immediately noticed some issues: the staircase leading up is extremely steep — understandable in older buildings — but the handrail was not securely attached, making it potentially dangerous. The stairwell light also went out before everyone reached the top, and there was no clear indication of a light switch.After dropping off our bags, we headed out for a gondola ride and dinner. But when we returned later that evening, we were horrified to find a rat on the bed, along with rat droppings and other signs of rodent activity throughout the apartment.We left immediately and did not stay the night.I called the listed contact number and left a voicemail, and also emailed the address provided. I followed up again the next day, and now, five days later, I’ve received no response from VRBO, Bookings, or WonderfulItaly.com. Update- they finally (after six days) contacted me.

Venice apt.

This apt was in a great location and air conditioned which was nice in the heat. Steep stairs going up to the apt. But we knew that ahead of time. Great restaurants and coffee right downstairs. There’s only one little couch but a good sized kitchen table and plenty of chairs. Very cute apartment. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay here in Venice! The property was clean and as expected. The host was very responsive. Be sure to eat at the restaurant at the end of the corridor. It was one of our best meals!

Très bel appartement, spacieux propre confortable et très bien placé

Cet appartement est très spacieux confortable et bien décoré, nous étions 4 et il y a 3 chambres donc 6 couchages, 2 belles salles de bain et tout ce qu'il faut pour être bien. Situé au 1er étage avec une vue au fenêtre sur les rues animées.Un seul point à noter pour ceux qui se sentent concernés, la tv ne fonctionne pas, et enfin une dernière suggestion au propriétaire, les coussins sont trop épais, des coussins plus fins seraient appréciables.

Tolle Wohnung mit kaputter Heizung und miserabler Betreuung

Die Wohnung ist toll, aber:1. Das Checkin-Verfahren muss man komplett selbst absolvieren incl. Fotos von sämtlichen Personalsausweisen Vor- und Rückseite etc. Das war uns unangenehm, es war mühsam und dauerte ewig. 2. Als wir am Nachmittag in der Wohnung ankamen, war diese eiskalt. Wir machten die Heizung an und stellten nach einiger Zeit fest, dass sie nicht funktionierte. Dann war bereits niemand von der Agentur über WhtasApp, Handy oder Mail erreichbar. Wir verbrachten eine sehr kalte Nacht komplett angezogen unter dünnen Decken. Kein warmes Wasser am Morgen. Als wir schon unterwegs waren, bekamen wir schriftlich eine Anleitung, wie Wasser nachzufüllen sei. Zurück in die Wohnung und nachgefüllt und zunächst gingen Heizung und Warmwasser. Dies Info hätte uns am Abend vorher sehr geholfen. Als wir nach ein paar Stunden zurückkamen, war die Heizung wieder aus. Dann endlich kam jemand und entlüftete die Heizung. Er sagte, dass passiere immer, wenn die Heizung lange nicht gelaufen sei. Wenn das Problem bekannt ist, frage ich mich, warum nicht jemand vorher die Heizung ausprobiert. Es wäre ohnehin nett gewesen, sie mal 2 Stunden vorher anzustellen. Kein schlechtes Gewissen von Seiten der Agentur und als wir dann baten, am letzten Tag noch unser Gepäck 1,5 Stunden im Eingangsbereich stehen lassen zu können, bekamen wir nur eine Gepäckaufbewahrung genannt. Fazit: Die Wohnung ist toll, aber wir werden generell bei der Agentur "Wonderful Italy" nicht mehr buchen.

Visit to Venice

Great apartment in a great location in Venice. The process of renting from anyone in Venice is difficult, but they made it as easy as possible. Good use of WhatApp? to communicate. When we had an issue with hot water, they were immediately responsive and the issue was resolved in less than an hour. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to be right in the San Polo area of Venice (two minutes from Rialto Bridge) - provided you can walk up about 30 steep steps.

Clean, comfortable and updated apartment!

Excellent location right near the Rialto bridge. Really cute apartment with new finish. Apartment was spacious, very clean and the beds comfortable. Communication was great as the manager of the property responded to all our needs promptly. Host was great and made sure all our needs were met.

Excellent location!

An excellent property with 3 great bedrooms, tasteful bathrooms and a small kitchen/living area. Checkin and communication were very easy. There is a large set of stairs you’ll need to carry your luggage up, but otherwise the property is great! Superb location right next to Rialto bridge!

Great stay in Venice

We had a great stay in Venice. It was the favorite location of several people in our family. We had 4 grown kids and 2 adults and fit perfectly. Apartment was exactly as described. Very clean and updated.great location! Only negatives were the beds were not comfortable. Especially the master bed and we had to go get toilet paper. We stayed in several different apartments during our trips and the ones that provided a few extra supplies stood out.

Wonderful time in Barcelona

We love this property. It is close to cafés, nice restaurants and the neighborhood is just beautiful. The apartment had everything already for us. The elevator was small, so 1 person with 2 luggages will fit for 1 ride. We used the stairs for getting up and down without luggages. Taxis are easy to pickup on the opposite side of the closest corner (on your right as you exit the apartment) The apartment is spacious and the appliances are very accommodating. The managers (there's more than 1) are very helful with the taxi for our group to get to the Princess Cruise Port. I recommend this apartment highly. We had a wonderful time in Barcelona partly because of this apartment. Thank you

Great location but steep steps

The only negative thing with this property is the 33 steep stairs you must climb with luggage to get to the apartment. Otherwise great - but tough for us being over 70 years old. Would just pack lighter next time but stay at the same place!!

Steep stairs

The pros: good location very close to Rialto Bridge. Excellent restaurant next door (Al Gobbo di Rialto), as well as 2 coffee shops. Nice modern decor. Very economical. Cons: very step stairs up to apartment which are very difficult with luggage ( especially after a 15 hr flight). For that reason I would not recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues or those who can’t carry a heavy suitcase up steep stairs. Washing machine is a combo washer/dryer that has no instructions and the panel is in Italian. We tried several times to get it to dry our clothes but it wouldn’t get that part of the job done. So we left Venice with wet clothes. Master bedroom bed is not a good setup: thin mattress with no pad or cover and the flat sheet covering it kept falling off, so we’d wake up sleeping on a bare (extra firm) mattress. Finally, there were only 2 very thin hand towels for the 2 bathrooms, and we had to search for them. No kitchen towels, no dishwasher tablets and of course no laundry detergent. The cons outweigh the pros for us so I would not stay here again. Others may be willing to tolerate the inconveniences in exchange for economy.

Family of 5 + a friend

We loved the location, not too far from the heart of Venice, but just far enough away from the major crowds. And the lovely coffee/roll/pizza shops around the corner were well liked as well. We are a family of 5 plus a teen friend. There was ample room for all of us. Half of the air conditioners went out temporarily, but the owners sent an easy to follow video for me on how to reset them and they were back in service right away. Directions were easy to follow for resetting the circuit when power cut off, and they left east to follow instructions for the trash disposal boat. Overall, we loved our stay and our Venice apartment. Great location and met all of our needs!

Lovely apartment in convenient central location.

The apartment was easy to find and access. Lovely comfortable apartment although let down by the noisy air con (which didnt go below 24 in Bed 1) and wasnt working when we got there....we had to go and buy new batteries for the remotes and a very noisy machine in the cupboard of Bed 1 which went off intermittently through the night waking us up. Otherwise a lovely apartment and great location.

Great property!

We really enjoyed our stay! The shower did leak significantly, but the hopefully can be an easy fix for them. The location is great though. It is one of the better rentals we’ve had overseas.

Modern Attractive Residence

Modern, spacious, and cozy home. 2 main bedrooms with a 3rd room utilized as a bedroom. That room contains 2 twin sized beds. The kitchen and dining room are open and usable. Location is only several hundred from Ponte Rialto or Rialto Mercato. Easy to find-no issues. Literally at base of unit is a wonderful coffee shop/ crescent shop. Generally opens at 7am. Two thoughts: the unit is on the second floor. The steps are tight and steep. Second, the hot water we found was limited and generally low pressure was noted. Consider reviewing Rick Steve’s travel guides on restaurants and ways to get around. We found it very helpful.

Spacious and easy check-in

This place has a lot of space. 2 rooms have a double bed and a third room has two twin beds. It also has a kitchen with a dining table and a separate sitting area with a couch (not a pull out couch). There was more space than the 4 of us needed, but it was nice to have anyway. I loved the check in process. The owner didn't coordinate a meeting time with us, instead they just sent detailed instructions on how to get to and access the room. That was nice because it gave us more flexibility on our arrival time. We stayed all of over Europe on this trip and this place had the most efficient check in process of all of them.
