New: luxurious and spacious boutique houseboat with sauna
The Admiral Suite Step aboard and into a world of calm luxury. The Admiral Suite features a king-size bed dressed in premium linens, a sleek modern bathroom, and your own private built-in sauna — because true relaxation shouldn't be a hotel perk, it should be your daily ritual.
Natural light pours through the boat's windows, catching the warm tones of the carefully curated interior and filling the space with an effortless, serene glow. Step out onto your private deck and let the gentle rhythm of the water do the rest — with the iconic Montelbaanstoren framed against the Amsterdam skyline just moments away.
The Space Every detail has been considered. Fast Wi-Fi and a Smart TV keep you connected when you want to be, while the thoughtful finishing touches — from the quality of the towels to the stillness of the water at night — make this stay feel like something you'll want to come back to. The Admiral Suite is designed for couples and solo travellers who want more than just a place to sleep. This is Amsterdam, lived from the water.
The Location The boat is moored on the Oudeschans, one of Amsterdam's most picturesque historic canals, in the very heart of the old city. You're surrounded by classic canal houses, tree-lined quays and the quiet lap of water — yet within easy walking distance of Nieuwmarkt, the Waterlooplein market, world-class restaurants and public transport links. Central without the noise. Peaceful without the distance.
Getting Here The suite is located at Oudeschans 5P in the historic centre. A footbridge leads directly to the deck and your private entrance — your own little arrival ritual. I'm available throughout your stay, so never hesitate to reach out.
Good to Know The houseboat has multiple private areas. The Admiral Suite — exactly as shown in the photos — is entirely yours during your stay. Other areas of the boat are not included.

Hi, I'm Rohen — a born-and-raised Amsterdammer with a deep love for this city's energy, history, and free spirit. I study Nutrition & Dietetics at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which means I care about people's wellbeing in everything I do — including how I host. Over the past few years, I've poured my heart (and a lot of elbow grease) into transforming this historic houseboat into the boutique gem it is today. Every detail — from the sauna to the luxury linens — was chosen with care. Hosting isn't just a side project for me; it's an extension of who I am. I love sharing my city with curious, open-minded travellers and making sure your stay feels special, seamless and genuinely Amsterdams. My co-hosts Albert and Gerben are equally dedicated, so you'll always have someone on hand if you need anything. We respond fast and we care — that's a promise.

The Oudeschans is, in my eyes, one of Amsterdam's best-kept secrets — and I get to wake up here every morning. This canal sits right at the crossroads of the old city: historic warehouses and houseboats line the water, and the iconic Montelbaanstoren tower stands just around the corner like a postcard come to life. What I love most is the balance. You're steps away from Nieuwmarkt, the buzzing Zeedijk, Chinatown, the Waterlooplein flea market, and a maze of boutique shops and hidden courtyards — yet the canal itself feels peaceful and unhurried. You can sit on the deck with a coffee and watch the city go by at its own pace. That contrast — vibrant but serene, central but calm — is exactly what makes Amsterdam so special to me, and exactly why I live here.

This isn't just a place to sleep — it's an experience. I spent years converting this vessel into a luxury boutique suite that genuinely surprises people the moment they step on board. The king-size bed, designer finishes and private sauna are the headline features, but it's the little things that guests remember: natural light streaming through the portholes, the gentle rocking of the water, the view of a 17th-century canal just outside your window. You're living on Amsterdam, not just in it. No hotel can offer you that perspective. The suite has its own private entrance, so you get total peace and privacy while still being hosted by people who genuinely love what they do. Whether you're here for romance, adventure or simply a beautiful place to reset — this boat delivers something that four walls never could!
