Great family vacation

The house was extremely nice with comfortable beds and everything you needed. The hot tub and pool table were a hit with all. Very close to Helen and the host was very nice and easy to deal with. We enjoyed our vacation.

Lovely mountain getaway

We celebrated Thanksgiving in this lovely home. The views were amazing. There was plenty of room for everyone and the pool table and hot tub provided additional entertainment and comfort. It was the perfect spot for our family gathering away from home. Would definitely book again.

Mountain Getaway

Enjoyed this spacious home overlooking the community golf course. Parking is tight with narrow driveway on a steep incline but very manageable for up to 3 compact SUVs or cars. Plenty of space for the whole family to spread out, very clean facilities with hot tub, pool table, and card table.

Everything was just as pictured! It’s close to town and in a great neighborhood! The house was everything with a nice little view! It held 12 of us easy! We would definitely recommend!

Great View and Stay

Beautiful view off the back deck of the fairway and pond with fountain. Had a great time playing pool (it’s a nice table) and the hot tub was right outside the door on the first floor. Be careful of the right side of the driveway though as it’s easy to bottom out. If you like a secluded, private place to stay you will like this property. It’s only about a 7 minute drive to downtown. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful trip

The property was excellent and property manager was excellent. Quite a few lady bugs on many of the window sills but most were dead so they must have pest control company. Lots of stairs so don’t recommend this home for anyone with mobility issues or babies. The driveway is incredibly steep and awkward angle so that part was scary to get in and out of driveway for people used to flat terrain like me. Really beautiful home and setting. Will go back!

Cabin with beautiful view.

Nice cabin with lots of room. Views are beautiful. Beds upstairs were not very comfortable and need to be replaced. Driveway is tricky and really can't accommodate more than 2 vehicles and a low riding car could possibly drag.

Girls trip

We loved this cabin! Very spacious! We had 10 adults and it never felt crowded! Also loved having bathrooms in every bedroom! The balcony view of the golf course with the mountains behind is amazing! The driveway is tricky but manageable! Only real complaint are the beds in the double bed room are very noisy. Not a room for light sleepers like myself. Definitely will book again for future stays!

BEST PLACE TO STAY

This place was fantastic! We were in the area for a family wedding. We were traveling with our children and their significant others. This house allowed plenty of space for our party; for sleeping, gathering, playing games and all of our geer. All the extra amenities provided were super appreciated. We even enjoyed the elusive bear family that kept us entertained and alert with their garbage can antics. The only item missing that would have been extremely helpful would have been a hair dryer (minor issue ). THANK YOU! We had a great time!

The view & location!

Good value for the home size, hot tub, game room and gas - charcoal grilling options. The view was amazing. The location to downtown Helen was perfect. Driveway was tricky and tight, but it’s manageable. I would suggest updating the upstairs mattresses as they were worn and sunk in, however the master was very firm which was to my liking. Having a bathroom for each bedroom as well as the game room was a plus! Some past reviews said it needed updating, but that didn’t bother me. It was a large cozy home with a cabin mountain esque vibe. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Would not recommend

The 4 main beds were very uncomfortable! And the parking is extremely difficult esp if you plan on having 3 cars or more. The outside porches were not the safest for small children.

This is our second time staying at this property. We loved it so much last year we rebooked. Unfortunately this year we were slightly disappointed. The mattresses were so much more uncomfortable this year. The main floor bed room had the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. It was basically like being on the carpet floor. The parking here is very difficult but doable. If the mattresses were updated there would be no complaints.

Worst beds ever

All beds were terrible and squeaky! We found a roach on the counter in the kitchen! The view was wonderful the location was ok , steep driveway! Kitchen could be better stocked with nicer and more bowls and kitchen utensils, couches are old and creaky and stick u in the behind. Definitely needs some updates! Otherwise it was a nice stay.

House was great and clean each and evry corner,i would like to come again may be next summer ,my entire family loved place ,i have seen reviews about bed and parking but there is no problem for us no one has any complaints and parking lil tricky but if you are good driver ,i don't think so any issue.my kids loves very much hot tub and game room also also the owner is not cheap about products in the house like ,they have had 2 propane for BBQ GRILL ,if people looking for any cabin (Helen ,GA) to booked, i would suggest you guys go ahead and book this location , i wish i see you again and again. Thank you very much

Big house, needs some upgrades

Guest are no longer allowed to use the neighborhood amenities (pool, courts, and such). This needs to be changed on the house description. Beds are really uncomfortable. Doubles are squeaky and sink in the middle. Master is very firm. Driveway is tricky, but manageable. Other than that, the house is great. Plenty of space, played games at the table, kids loved the pool table, hot tub is big. Hit up Rooms To Go mattress sale and this house is great. The house is about 5 minutes through the neighborhood, after the guard house. Follow the directions given with check in information. But the entrance to the neighborhood is right in town. Highly suggest Mind Escape Room, great family fun!

Last-Minute Family Vacation

The property itself was nice but if you are thinking about booking here be aware that the driveway is scary and you enter into the home on the bottom floor of the three-story home. We thought after going through the bedrooms that maybe the beds had been updated after the complaints of other guests. That was, until we tried out the main level master bed which feels exactly like sleeping on the floor. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence here but every morning between 8 and 9 AM a red bird has decided it is its hobby to bang its body into every window of the house until everyone is awake. I took video footage because I thought it was just the bedroom I was staying in but it moved from window to window and came back every morning. Aside from all those inconveniences (and the not so great wifi) we had fun going to babyland, gem panning, das ice cream shop, bigg daddy's restaurant and to mind escapes, escape room. The hot tub was fun and the house was clean when we arrived.

Not the best and not the worst

The building is very nice and is well stocked, especially the kitchen. Everything worked (fireplace, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, etc.). Management was mostly accessible, just not after normal business hours, and was very nice and helpful!! However, I had higher expectations for some things. For example, almost anything we used in the kitchen was dirty and had to be cleaned before use (cups, cutting boards, plates). The driveway seemed borderline dangerous with how steep the incline is. The property is all the way at the back of the development, so it takes about 7-10 minutes to get to the house from the front gate with all the winding roads and speed bumps. Not a deal breaker, but it was different from what we expected by looking at a general area on the map. We also used the bear-proof trashcan as directed, but it was broken and not working, so we had to clean up trash from the bears to avoid a fine. We addressed this before checking out as we were afraid to leave the property and the bears return, and the management seemed to know it was a common issue. Finally, the parking situation was a bit tricky because only 3 cars are allowed, and they had to be pre-approved by the security gate which is not associated with the cabin rental property, and they seemed a bit frustrated with how we were pushed to them to do our dealings rather than finalize car plans with our host. All in all, it was a nice place to stay, but I wouldn’t brag about it.

We loved Alpine Golf!

The house was perfect—came with great amenities, had beautiful views, and was in a great location. Definitely recommend!
