Very nice!

Great location for beach access! There are a few things that need to be addressed, though. The cracked ceramic floor tiles both upstairs and downstairs. Somebody is going to get their feet cut on the sharp edges. Carport lights? There are switches to control them, but i'm not sure they're attached to anything. Surf and Sound realty are terrific hosts, though. Very communicative and clear in their instructions!

Family Trip to Avon

Nothing really stood out as amazing however is was a nice property . . that was clean and comfortable . . . in a convenient location . . . with good views . . .and it certainly contributed to making our vacation enjoyable. Thank you.

Property was great for our trip but issues during our stay

We have a pretty good impression of the house from reading the listing and reviews. The beach access was tougher to get to then the pictures show. My elderly mom had difficulty getting to beach and we’ve visited OBX many times, this was our first time in Avon. Our teenage kids drove separately and arrived to the house before we did and after we got the text the house was ready with our code. When they arrived there was someone in the house and she quickly left once she saw them pull in the driveway. We found out no one was staying there the week prior. That person was not supposed to be there and it made us uneasy the rest of the trip. The bathrooms were dirty when we arrived and needed cleaned. We had an issue with ants in the kitchen, and there was sand in some of the beds. After reporting these issues to Surf or Sound it took almost the whole week before someone came out to fix them. We will definitely be back in OBX again and loved the area. I don’t like to give bad reviews and hopefully these issues get fixed for the next family that stays there.

Excellent house

We stayed for two weeks here and enjoyed every moment. The location is ideal: walking distance to the beach, 2 min drive to Food Lion, and across the street from a gas station. The property was very clean and well maintained, had a grill, a well stocked kitchen, great views 360, private access to the beach, and all appliances in working condition.

2023 Spring Visit

A group of 4 adults visited, house was just the right size and great location. The house is a little older, and the deck could use some care. Only issue I had was with the online pricing and booking process. Depending on how I "booked", I could see two different pricings, selected the lower one, and got charged the higher one. And charges get billed separately, which is confusing.

This was a great place for our fishing group to stay. Close to every fishing hotspot Avon and south.

Great efficient stay

We'd definitely go back again. Had a few minor Maintenance issues that were immediately addressed. Great location.

Great location

We loved the location of this house! The beach was almost empty, the sound side beach was just a quick 2 minute drive away and there were so many small businesses close by to support. The house itself was not cleaned well. Coffee was still in the pot, confetti, markers and toys on the floor from previous guests. It could use a deep cleaning but it was satisfactory. The decks were great for hanging out but many of us got splinters throughout the week from the boards so we made sure we wore shoes when we went outside. Despite a few issues, we had a great week. It’s the perfect place for quiet time with the family and hanging in the beach. Easy to get to the ferry to visit Ocracoke island and lighthouses.

Wonderful!

This was such a clean, well-maintained home. We loved the location, the decks, the decor, everything. The only "complaint" was the haul to the beach over the sand dunes for my elderly parents, but otherwise, we loved it and will return.

We had a very good experience renting this house and enjoying its commodities. Property looks exactly as presented on pictures. View was one of must option we wanted and it is just great as on pictures, actually even better! It is not very roomy house, and not very new either, but it looks clean, simple and classy. Pleasant experience overall.

Avon vacation 10/5 through 10/12

Location is great, close to restaurants and grocery store. The view was amazing. The house needs a deep cleaning.
