To start with this Host filed a fraudulent claim against our CSA Travel Insurance. After we told her about the items we discuss below she claimed that we damaged her Credenza to the tune of $850! The Credenza was covered up with her travel notebook that we never even moved. More on that later.
Overall the property is VERY neglected. There are so many lights burned out. There is no front door/porch light so you can’t see at night to put the code in. Loose handles on shower doors, kitchen French door unable to open, toilet in master did not flush well, loose toilet seats and much more. We added salt to the water softener because it was empty and making loud noises. The dishwasher door was broken so it falls to the floor when open. Lack of hot water and clogged master bathroom drain.
The decor, including carpet is all 15+ years old . The throw rugs are filthy with crumbs and dirt. The carpet is very dirty. So many artificial plants that were covered in dust. Every time we shut a kitchen cabinet, dust fell down. When we arrived the toilet in the 2nd bathroom was covered in pee. The master shower had someone else’s razor cover sitting on the shelf.
Simple things like the garbage cans were very dirty. The hand soap containers were old and caked with layers of old soap. Patio and outdoor furniture was terribly dirty.
Lastly, when one goes into a rental property, everything should be purposeful. All of the towel racks were filled with decorative towels with signs “Do Not Use”. We stayed there 2 1/2 months, and needed a place just to put toiletries. Same issue in the kitchen. There are so many items, most of them needed to be replaced or thrown out. There was no place to put our food. Every cupboard was filled.
Back to the FRAUD claim. When we mentioned just some of these items to the Host she got super angry and said she would file a claim with VRBO to get some money. She also kept our $250 security deposit that I am working to get back through Amex. Problem is she had an old picture of some kind of stain that was covered up under her travel notebook, but no “before”picture with the stain not their. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!

wonderful
my wife & I found this unit the best one we've stayed in the las six winters at Lake Las Vegas.. Everything we needed was there. The view from the 'porch' was wonderful/gorgeous. A quiet and peaceful place. We also loved having our own garage and the ease of bringing in groceries.

Beautiful condo and views!
My husband and I stayed for a month and enjoyed everything about the property. The community of Lake Las Vegas is a great location close to Lake Mead as well as an easy 20 mile drive to the strip. Weather was still a bit cool this time of year and that along with Covid restrictions, we did not have access to the community pool or gym area. The main pool was open by reservation only so we were able to enjoy that once during our stay and it was extremely beautiful and well maintained! We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone wanting a peaceful and beautiful vacation getaway!

Lovely, secure and well equipped condominium.
My wife and I recently stayed at Carol's beautiful property. The condo has a great hillside view of Lake Las Vegas and the Lake Mead Recreational Area.
Carol was very fast in responding to an initial plumbing problem. No problems after that and we had a very pleasant stay. Montelago town is just a short drive away with it's restaurants and grocery store. Our only regret is that we didn't rent for a longer time.Thanks Carol. Rus and Virginia
