Wonderful Ocean View Home

This a beautiful, charming house overlooking the ocean. Easy parking, lots of amenities, one block walk to town. We loved it for family Christmas stay.

An amazing location and host!

We had a fabulous time! Darla is an amazing person and host. We wanted to be close to LMU to drop our son at school and could not have asked for a better location. The front deck has fabulous views that we enjoyed every evening. We would absolutely stay again.

Stunning home

This is a beautiful home with all the amenities you will need for a great So Cal vacation. The home is clean and comfortable with amazing views from all areas. The deck above the house is a great place to hang out if you get tired of the sand but still want to enjoy the marina and ocean views.

Amazing home!

The house is gorgeous! Stocked with everything we needed and then some. Darla is so sweet and made everything easy. The location is perfect with a quick walk to great coffee, restaurants and the beach! You can't beat the view from every room in the house and the fabulous roof deck. Cannot wait to come back! Playa del Rey - California Beach House

Great house, with amazing views of the beach, city and the mountains. Walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. Rooftop deck with jacuzzi tub, unbeatable views, and linear gas feature. Awesome place to hang out, enjoy the views and relax from a long day at the beach. House was clean, well kept and stocked. Owner was incredibly nice, responsive, and helpful. We would recommend this property to our family and friends and hope to stay again soon.

Beachside Luxury

Perfect location to watch sailboats, hang at the beach, bike ride along the shore, find a variety of dining, observe birds, and enjoy a luxurious home that has the best views from balconies to the upper decks. Our hostess, Darla, made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Perfect location for family vaca!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at Darla's beach house! The location is unbeatable, close to restaurants, the beach and even the airport. The views from nearly every room are wonderul. Darla is very responsive and it's refreshing for a host to actually meet guests at the property for an orienting process. She graciously allowed us an early check-in to accommodate our schedule. We highly recommend her property!

Family vacation - amazing stay

Amazing property in great location. Our family totally enjoyed our vacation in LA. Very convenient with water views, 30 mins from Malibu, downtown, Pasadena and other locations. The hostess is very friendly, helpful and gave us recommendations for local fare. Would totally stay here again.

Great stay!

Loved the house and the location. Walkable to restaurants/beach and a little removed from the hustle of LA, but we were easily able to tour the area as well. Super close to the airport too but noise from planes wasn't an issue. The house is well stocked (we cooked a full Thanksgiving meal there), very comfortable, and has incredible views. Darla was a very kind and attentive host and we'd definitely stay there again.

Wonderful!

Our family stay was as close to perfect as it has ever been! The host was excellent and the home itself felt like it was designed just for our family! The views were "post-card picturesque" and it was everything we hoped for! The property itself is incredible but the communiity is too! The walk to the beach is literrally minutes away and the vibe is unparalleled. Thanks for having us!

What a great place

We had a lot to do during our stay in the LA area and it was such a pleasure to have this house to come back to daily. The homeowner, Darla, was great to work with and provided everything for a wonderful stay. While just a short drive from LAX, you’d never know you were near an airport. You drive through a wilderness area to get to Playa and it feels like a secluded enclave among the hustle and bustle. It was close to most everything you’d be looking to do in LA. There were beautiful views of the beach and marina from every room, a hot tub up high overlooking it all, and it was very walkable to a number of great restaurants and shops. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t more than 10 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Prime Location!

Our trip to move our daughter off LMU campus was a complete success. Proximity to LMU and all the beach communities make this a prime location. You can’t put a price on the awesome view of the ocean from every bedroom as promised. We enjoyed all the dining options, just a short walk down the street. Our communication with Darla was first rate. She was there to greet us and give us a comprehensive tour of the house and answered our questions via text right away. The house had everything we needed for our week long stay. So what started out as a “to do” trip ended up feeling more like a vacation. We also want to thank Darla for graciously allowing us to delay our departure by a few hours when our plane home was cancelled and not re-booked until much later that day. We safely left our car parked right outside the home with all our luggage while we enjoyed a prolonged lunch at Bacari PDR. Thank you and we are looking forward to our next visit!

I was born and raised in San Pedro, LA County. Moving to glorious Playa Del Rey when I was 16. To me now, PDR has the best of all worlds; a funky little beach town with amazing restaurants and shops! Close to everything, Lax, Museums, Downtown, Santa Monica, Venice and Manhattan Beach.

We are located on Montreal St, which I say is the Lombard Street of Playa Del Rey. Imagine waking up and gazing out the window to see Ocean, Sand and Palm Trees. Every night the sunsets are unique and breathtaking. Walking to swim in the ocean, lay in the sand, eat at one of the many recommended restaurants and shops. You never have to drive if you don't want to. We're between Manhattan Beach and Marina Del Rey, close to Venice and Santa Monica.
