Sometimes after looking at a rental that has such beautiful pictures, the reality is not quite as good. That’s not the case at Sweet Tea. It really is an excellent place to enjoy the white sands and gorgeous waters of the gulf. Being right on the beach, and having a large private deck, allows you to see and hear the ocean all the time. It’s wonderfully decorated in a casual, beachy vibe.
You can easily fit a couple kids in the darling built in bunkbeds in the hallway. They would love their little nooks for playing and sleeping. The living area is roomy and the kitchen is big enough to do any cooking you need to do while staying here. The bathroom is updated and beautiful with fluffy white towels provided. The shower tends to leak where the glass doors come together, but there is a rug to absorb it and we just put it outside to dry off.
Don’t forget to bring your own beach towels. There are plenty of boogie boards, a canopy, and beach chairs stored on the deck so don’t worry about bringing those yourself.
There are numerous activities to do in the area, or you can do nothing at all but relax and enjoy the beach. Nancy was so helpful and easy to work with.
The only negative is that the floors are not well insulated and we could hear all the steps and running above us......but then you’re not inside that much. It’s so beautiful you want to be out and enjoying the beach or deck.
And I have to give a big shout out for HOOKS! My husband and I travel a lot. Staying at Airbnb, Homeaway, hotels and other places. The number one frustration I always have is that there’s plenty of wall space but there’s nowhere to hang up your clothes, jackets, towels, pajamas… and so on. Three cheers for Sweet Tea. There are plenty of hooks in the hall, the bathroom and even next to the kids bunkbeds.
Definitely a place to visit again.
