7 of us recently stayed at the Villa Paraiso and it was a nice, quiet, relaxing enclave. There's tons of space to spread out - we did not feel crowded at all. Everything was as-advertised and clean. Very well stocked, from every possible kitchen item you'd need (including spices), to all the beach accessories you'd need for a day on the beach (umbrellas, chairs, cooler, etc). There are also several bikes for use, and an extensive library of DVD movies. A whole chest full of pool toys for the pool. Not a far drive from Pāhoa or Hilo. A good central starting point to get to the aforementioned towns, Volcanoes National Park, beaches, parks, etc. Pool, spa, lanai great to come home to and relax after a day of exploring.
Communication with both the owner and the on-island manager was great. Check-in instructions were clear and easy.
We were greeted by the manager on our first morning and she had some great recommendations for local things to do and see.
My only complaint is that we should have stayed longer!
Don't be alarmed if there are a few bugs, it's part of life on the island.
