Lush Tropical Paradise! 2mins to BEACH Luxury Home ~ El Delfin

Welcome to Stef Surf. Our Tropical Paradise is a boutique resort, El Delfin, located in the heart of Surfside in gated secure environment one minute walk to the ocean. Offering approx 1650 sq ft on two floors, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms. Each bedroom offers a private sundeck where you can pass the time away on the day beds. The master bedroom offers floor to ceiling 14 feet high double sliding glass doors. We installed a murphy bunk bed designed for kids in the master bedroom. Plus the option of two extra Convertible bed. Up to 6 sleeps. Wake up to the sounds of the ocean, howler monkeys and parakeets.

The main floor features floor to ceiling windows open to the gardens, diamond polished concrete floors, the fully equipped kitchen features granite countertop and a breakfast bar and laundry facilities .

Private patio and gardens are furnished with a dinning room table and a lounge area including 2 accent chairs and a love sit plus gas barbecue all great for dining or lounging. The communal rancho is great for meeting up with visiting guests and sharing stories of the days events. Crystal clear waters in our pool and spa, sundeck with over stuffed pillows. Iguanas, geckos, butterflies, hummingbirds are all found within our very secured walled grounds.

My favourite past time each morning-----A fresh cup of Costa Rican coffee while walking on the meandering elevated boardwalk through the gardens, I am always amazed with the large varieties of tropical flowers. I still find new ones I've never seen before. In addition our boutique orchard has Mangos, Papaya, coconuts, bananas, limes, lemons, naranjas, guava, and of course my favourite chillies. Guests are encouraged to harvest and enjoy our fruits.

Our property is run like a resort and the care takers Francisco and Marling will ensure that your stay is unforgettable providing housekeeping, laundry, pool and ground maintenance. A perfect balance of total private resort with the opportunity to meet fellow travelers.

At night the boardwalk and gardens light up creating intriguing, romantic hideaway.

15 Restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk 3 of which are on the beach, 3 18 hole golf courses are all within a easy drive.

What ever your interests are Birding, Deep sea Fishing, Horse back riding on the beach, Canopy tours (zip line) ATV's, Wave riding, Hiking around a live volcano or soaking in a mud bath, Biking, River Rafting, Sailing, Tubbing or Swimming under a waterfall, these are all available.

If you need to get work done or just want to connect with friends WiFi is available through the property.

Excellent, relaxing stay.

Great place

Close to the beach and the town center. Care takers were all very nice. Check in/out process could be better explained. I would stay there again.

An oasis

Great location . It’s so peaceful at Stef Surf , it’s hard to believe you are walking distance to town and the beach . The property is beautifully landscaped and the unit we stayed in -El Delfin was clean , contemporary and tastefully decorated / furnished . The caretaker, Francisco , is a delight .

Bait and switch do not rent

Stay away! The property shown in the listing photos is not the property you are renting. Owner is knowingly using photos of a nearby home, both inside and outside photos, and pretending it is theirs. The actual unit faces the street, super noisy, no view and not poolfront like the listing photos Unit is furnished with air mattresses and metal folding chairs, not the furnishings in the photos. Property was not ready for checkin despite us arriving hours late Zero communication from the host, would not recommend

Beautiful beach town

We had a blast in Playa Potrero. The property was clean, relaxing, and beautiful. The pool was well maintained and we enjoyed using it after spending time at the beach.

Beaches and sunshine!

The property was lovely The solitude, the cool splash of the clean pool, the hanging bananas, the security, the comforts of home away from home….and far beyond. Potrero beach was 4 blocks away, the sunsets were magnificent. Francisco and Marlin were the truest, loveliest humans! I was sad when I wasn’t able to have to have our crazy Spanish- English conversations!!! So endearing. We rented a car so we were able to. Is it a few astounding parks. I will never forget our special trip to warm, friendly, beautiful Costa Rica!

Potrero stay

Overall a good experience. A few minute walk to the beach. Strongly recommend Hemingway's for food and libations which is right along the beach. Some of the information provided by the owners was dated and it would have been helpful to have that further in advance and up to date. Caretaker Francisco is there daily so if there are any issues he can be easily reached and the issue fixed. Beaches are beautiful - recommend Penca which you can drive to in about 10 minutes (note - roads are bumpy in Costa Rica so get a 4X4!) Also note that the two bathrooms are upstairs and it is a spiral staircase which could be challenging if someone has mobility issues.

Amazing Stay!

This place was amazing. Absolute paradise

Everything about this property is great! The location is quiet and peaceful but centrally located to several amazing beaches. The lush trees keep the house shaded and we hardly needed the AC. Francisco was so friendly and gave us a tour of the house when we arrived. He helped us find out way around as well. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of towels. We also appreciated that there was a cooler we could use. Pool area is beautiful. We really cannot say enough wonderful things! Eat dinner at Santido Norte one night! Arrive around 5 to watch the sunset. You will thank me. Coco loco in Flamingo is also great. So many wonderful beautiful people and places!! We will be back!

Amazing property

Fantastic property just on the outside of all of the touristy hot spots. We enjoyed an almost private beach all to ourselves. Francisco and his wife were amazing, best caretakers I have ever met. Thank you for the unforgettable experience.

Perfect stay

The property is gorgeous! Exactly as described (if not better). Short 2 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to delicious restaurants. The caretaker was always there to help with anything and everything. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place!

We had a wonderful time here! We felt so safe and well taken care of by Francisco and Marling, they are truly amazing. We loved the condo and the pool. We really loved the relaxing vibe of the area and had a rental car to go and explore all of the surrounding beaches. This is a fantastic spot. We are a family with two kids (age 4 and 7) and they had a great time! We would definitely come back.

Great stay in Playa Potrero

We very much enjoyed our 7 day stay at Stef Surf. The condo was a great place to use as a base for all travel to surrounding beaches, towns and eco adventures. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Concrete floors and stairs may present a problem for people with mobility issues but we knew that prior to booking. Owners provided valuable information both before arriving and after through our personal concierge Lis. We would not hesitate to book this condo again. Loved Costa Rica as a whole and the Surfside community in Playa Potrero.

Magical

Stef Surf is a little bit of heaven. As soon as we stepped thru the gate, we shed all of life's problems. It is a quiet and peaceful place. We were greeted by flowering plants, birds, squirrels, a beautiful pool and of course, Marling and Francisco. They smiled and made us feel welcome. Our unit, El Delfin, exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, furnished comfortably, had a well-equipped kitchen, beautiful balconies with views of the pool, and a side yard for outside dining. It is close to restaurants and local beaches. Many can be walked to from the beach so you don't really need a car. This property has everything you want and more.

An amazing Zen home. Our favorite in Guanacaste!

The moment we walked into house Delfin we felt relaxed and at home. The fang shui of this place is amazing. We slept like baby sloths. The house had everything we needed and Francisco the caretaker was there for us 24/7. Master bedroom will blow your mind! They provided extra beach towels, boogie boards and snorkeling gear as well as chairs for the local beaches which were many. The next place we build will look just like Delfin at Stef Surf. Everyone was very friendly and the nearby restaurants were amazing. Try the new beer brewery and say hi to TJ and Kathy for us while you are there. Next time we are in Costa Rica we will be stopping at Potrero for sure!
