Close to KY Fair & Expo

Had a great stay, the home was clean and central all our activities. Our host was very easy to work with. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful House and Terrific Host

We enjoyed this property. It was very clean. The backyard is large and cozy with privacy fences all around. The host was very attentive and kind.

Convenient location for Kentucky Derby

The house was clean and ready on time. Communication with the host was timely. The location of the house was very convenient to get to the racetrack for the Kentucky Derby. The only thing we suggested be replaced is the couch in the family room as it did not have much life left to it. It was broken and seemed unstable. The owners left us a very nice welcome gift upon arrival. Would stay here again for the convenience to the Derby.

As advertised

Great location. Close to airport, highway, and church hill downs. Nice backyard to relax in. No dishwasher but that was expected. Front door could use some new hinges to cut down on the creaking when going in and out.

We didn't spend much time at the house but it was sufficient for our needs. Back yard looked nice enough if you needed a place to hang out.

Did not enjoy

The owner didn’t inform me that he had cameras on property until 3 days before I was supposed to check-in and with that it felt like the owner was watching me and my friends every move and it felt very uncomfortable definitely wouldn’t recommend for any women or family’s with female children.

Great location and responsive owners

This house is perfectly located to go to events at the Kentucky Expo Center, Churchill Downs, and the university of Louisville. It is easy to get to and is two blocks from a shopping center with a large Kroger. The owners responded very quickly to questions and requests. Fredie and Tiffany came to fix squeaky doors same day I asked and also brought a drink pitcher to replace one no longer there. The white noise machines in the upstairs bedrooms were helpful. The upstairs has a/c window units in all 3 bedrooms. The stairs to the second floor are narrow, steep and easy to slip on going down. A warning for light sleepers: there are trains going by often day and night, and sometimes many UPS airplanes fly overhead around 4 to 5 am. Two of our five nights the planes kept me awake, but they did not disturb the rest of the family. We would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely love this area. You are close to everything Louisville has to offer. You are close enough to walk to a lot of events and restaurants. This area is mixed with a wide variety of people ranging from college students to local Louisvillians that have lived here for decades.
You are close enough to walk to Churchill Downs and to see local sporting events at Jim Patterson and Papa John’s stadium. If you want to experience 4th Street Live, the Highlands, or Nulu, it’s only 5 miles to each from the Derby City House.
