With the apartment being in the heart of Old Town Nice (Vieille Ville) one could not ask for a more rewarding and rich experience during our month-long stay in Nice. Having the Cours Saleya and Marché aux Fleurs right outside the front door made the location one that seemed part of a French fairytale. Within a mere block or two there are a number of fine bakeries, excellent restaurants, great coffee shops and all the amenities one could wish for. Then there's the Promenade des Anglais, a must-do walkway along the beaches that separate Nice from the Mediterranean. The promenade extends 7km, all the way from the airport to the Quai des États-Unis and is a 2 minute start from your front door. So, location, location, location wins the focus of this charming apartment. You can't beat it.
The apartment itself is on the third floor, and it has no lift, but the stairs are easily managed (sans luggage) and give one that once or twice-a-day opportunity to strengthen the legs since Nice is a walking city for sure. We walked everywhere, only once renting a car to drive into Italy which is only an hour or so away. The apartment is quaint and charming with all that you need for your stay. It is quite an old building (you're in old town remember) so the added character of age and irregularities accentuate the charm already in place.
There were only two of us but the larger than usual size and floor plan could easily accommodate 4 people without bumping into each other's toes. Being right in the heart of Old Town activity, the sound levels from the street would often rise to our attention, but, when it was time for quiet, the double pane windows sealed out the ground floor energy and gave us complete peace and privacy.
We definitely will put this property on our return list of accommodations when it comes time to revisit the south of France and the charming city of Nice
