This rental is a fabulous luxury value! First, the owners are extremely responsive, friendly & truly have thought of everything when equipping this home for rental. Upon arrival, you will note you are about a 4 minute walk from Magic Sands beach. The house, from the exterior is unassuming but certainly in great condition. As you ascend to the lanai you immediately recognize the pictures don't quite do the comfort and size of the lanai justice. Oh, but first you'll see the beach and snorkeling supplies thoughtfully arranged below the lanai for your enjoyment. You'll enter through massive fully retracting sliding doors and feel a great sense of comfort and a touch of homey elegance, high ceilings, beautiful bamboo (?) floors, ceiling soffit lighting, and a nicely equipped kitchen. Teague and Corrie even had a welcome basket with a personalized note, bottle of wine, and snacks and cold beverages in the fridge.
The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and separated by the main living area of the house. Great arrangement for 2 couples or a family, or a romantic house with just the spouse. I was there with my 14 year old daughter, so we each has our own "wing". All rooms have the retractable sliders with screen doors or wide open & remote shades - very cool! The soft breeze through the house was Hawaii at its fines.
I have rented many homes over the years through VRBO and for the money, you get some serious bang out of this one. Some rentals just don't have much of anything in the way of supplies. This has ALL YOU NEED, from the little stuff like paper towels, cleaning spray, coffee filters, spices, and teas to a good size jar of Kona coffee beans to top quality sharp kitchen knives. (seems like most rentals have really dull crappy knives). Plenty of towels,& even good shampoo. although we didn't watch TV or movies, there was a good selection of dvd's (nice taste in movies btw:) and a nice entertainment center. Instructions were simple, everything worked easily and we certainly enjoyed being able to connect to the sound bar via bluetooth.
The BBQ grill was darn near brand new and spotless. Grilled up Ahi we caught on a fishing trip! If you are still wondering about an ocean front rental, don't bother. The street that fronts the ocean can be very busy with cars. One block back and we never heard the traffic, but still enjoyed sunsets from the plush comfort of our lanai & could walk down for swim in the ocean at magic before breakfast. Book it Dano!
