My husband and I, as well as an adult daughter, enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Mountain View Cabin. It offered gorgeous spaces for each of us to spread out, whether resting, writing, reading, etc.
For the most part, I'd nickname it the Easy-Peasy Cabin.
It was easy to find, easy to park, and easy to reach everywhere we wanted to go. The sidewalk that leads to the decking where the front door is does have a small incline. It was too cold for us to enjoy the decking that wraps around the house, but WOW, what a fantastic opportunity that would be in warmer weather.
It was easy to cook and clean in the kitchen, which was well-stocked with all the cooking utensils and cookware that one could want. We loved the colorful dishware, but plain white dishes were also available.
The TV and the instructions were even easy; in fact, the ONLY tv we've ever been able to use at any cabin.
The washer and dryer were not only easy -- they worked beautifully. Since they are uniquely situated under the staircase, one does need to be careful when using the dryer.
Not surprisingly, check-in and check-out were easy-peasy too. It appears that most cabins in Ruidoso follow the regular 4 pm check-in and 10 am check-out times; this one did the same.
In 3 areas, Sunrise Mnt. View Cabin ranks #1 among all the short-term rentals we've stayed in: the best views, toilets, and bathtubs! BEYOND BEST VIEWS! EVERYWHERE you look, there's a stunning view. In addition to the trees, the snow scenes and elk delighted us.
The hosts communicated clearly, kindly, and promptly through e-mail, text, and in the house manual. I should add them to the best list, as the best hosts we've ever had also. We appreciated how "easy" they made this little "Swiss Chalet" so we could slow down, catch our breath, and truly enjoy spectacular Ruidoso.
