"The location was fantastic, close to many great restaurants and the gay district for those wanting to go out. However, be prepared for a lot of stairs—there's a significant set to reach the main level from the street, and each floor also has a lot of stairs. The views from the house were definitely the highlight.
Carlos and Vanessa were nice, but I did notice that Vanessa charged me more for exchanging American dollars to pesos than what banks typically offer. If you want them to cook for you, be sure to bring enough pesos.
The food was delicious, but I was a bit disappointed that the listing said that laundry was supposed to be done by them. But when asked Vanessa about it, she showed us where the washer/dryer was on the second to last day.I wish we had known about the laundry room earlier, as it’s not part of the house.
I also think the rooms could benefit from more light, and the house could use some updating. The furniture felt quite old, and the lighting was pretty dim. While Tom was very responsive and the house was clean, it didn’t quite match the immaculate condition described in previous reviews, which left me a little underwhelmed upon arrival. The air conditioning worked great, though!
Overall, we had a nice time, but I felt a bit disappointed with the condition of the house.
