I stayed at Casa Lleana for a total of 6 days and could not have been more pleased with the experience.
Accommodations: The house is incredible. Every room is more than comfortable (beds are so soft, baths are spacious) and unique (room in the rock, palapa room, etc..). They each have their own personal space (tables, balconies, benches) for a person to sit and read and relax. The deck, the kitchen and the dining area is perfect for both casual meals and fancy dinners. Our group inevitably gathered out there to jump in the pool, eat, and look at the view — a stunning 180 degree panorama of Puerto Vallarta and the sea.
The furnishings are eclectic in the most wonderful of ways. It feels like the pieces have been picked up through years traveling through Mexico... each one a nod to the surrounding culture. They're solid and rustic (less Miami Beach, more Puerto Vallarta).
Staff: Christina and the staff make the BEST food, keep the place in tip-top shape, and are quick to help. Not much more to say here. Wonderful people, through and through.
Location: The house is less than a 5 minute walk from the center of Puerto Vallarta, which is so awesome to walk around in. You're not insulated like you would be staying in a resort — I actually got to see the Puerto Vallarta culture and people (which is why we travel, right?). The beach is close and great food is closer.
Additionally, due to the current perception of Mexico, I feel the need to note that Casa Lleana is very, very safe. Big gate, great location, etc..
