Eagle Watch

We enjoyed our time at Eagle Watch. We had plenty room for our family, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and swimming in the pool. We had it heated and it was perfect! We actually saw a bald eagle while swimming in the pool! The beach is is a nice walk, just follow colonnade around and you will see the beach access on your left. We would definitely book this property again.

Great spot for our family vacation

The space in and out of the house was perfect for a family gathering. And we enjoyed eating in both of the outdoor dining areas. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the view of the golf course. House is within walking distance of the beach - maybe a 10 minute walk but we also found parking when we went for the fireworks on the 4th. Vacasa was great in letting us park additional vehicle at no cost in the office parking lot which was about a mile away. Excellent vacation home for a large group! Also - the kitchen was top notch with updated appliances. And our grown kids enjoyed being able to play ping pong in the game room. Everyone in our group loved it.

Delightful Stay

Comfortable beds; Spacious; easy check in; beautiful view of trees, golf course, and pool. Lovely walking trails; we loved that there were so many well appointed bathrooms; tons of dining & seating spaces; only draw back for us would be the stairs getting into the house & stairs going down to pppl for my older mother, but they were wide and well built! We had plant of parking too since there is an overflow parking right next to driveway which is a rare treat!

Ship Yard Paradise

We loved our stay! The house was spacious enough for multiple adults to share the home. We came down for my sons Marine bootcamp graduation in Parris Island but also wanted to enjoy the time as a mini vacation. This house was perfect!

Overall our stay went very well. Wish the pool had not been so much in the shade. The water was too cold for me for several days. Enjoyed the porch. Beautiful home! Hilton Head is a beautiful island.

Great space

The home was a perfect layout and location. Updated kitchen was lovely. The carpet was stained throughout and the furniture was worn and beat up. The check in process at Vacasa was terrible.. We arrived at 4:30 pm and they had locked their office doors. I called the office and was instructed to open the box on the outside wall to get the envelope that had parking passes and entry information. The envelope was empty!!! So I found the homeowners house managers number and he told me what to do. Vacasa was useless. And did I mention that when I called Vacasa again to tell them there were no passes, they wouldn't answer the phone. And I could see thru the windows that 2 women were sitting at the desk and wouldn't answer. I also knocked on the glass door and they ignored me (this happened to 2 other people that came in behind us VACASA IS AWFUL!!!

House of filth and BED BUGS!

I read all the reviews before I booked this property and there was really only one that kind of complained of the musty smell and the dated decor. No one complained about it being filthy. When we arrived it was late in the evening so a lot of things we didn’t really notice until late the next day when we actually were in the house. There was black mold in the downstairs shower, the upstairs shower was dirty, the carpet was dirty, the house smells musty and moldy and like somebody had just finished cooking a roast in a crockpot. If they actually had a cleaning company come in and clean, it should smell clean not like food. Huge spiderweb over the sink in the kitchen in the skylight that you can tell it’s been there for quite some time. Then the pool- it was filthy! There was so much sand in the bottom of that pool and we were nowhere near sand or a beach and yes I understand things will blow into a pool and you’ll need to skim it. But this was just gross and dirty. The house was a little dated but I could get over that- the fact that it didn’t feel like it was clean I can’t. Its like the cleaning company came in and tidied up, changed the bedding and walked out -those floors were not washed. My dog brought her toy to me and it was covered in the hugest hair dust bunny- it was disgusting! Honestly I would’ve just let everything go if it wouldn’t of been for my experience with the bedbugs which is why I’m complaining and writing this review. I slept in the downstairs bedroom with the twin beds in the twin bed next to the door -please keep this in mind if you book this house-this is the room that had bedbugs. I was the only one on the trip that had this issue. It literally started the first night I slept in there but I didn’t know what it was I just thought something had bitten me - as the week went on the bites were increasing. The day before we were leaving we figured it out as I had found a dead bedbug in my bed that morning. We took off all the bedding to investigate and did not find anything so we think they are actually inside the mattress. I left with more than 100 bites on my arms alone. I had so many bites that I actually had to go to urgent care because I had such a bad reaction to the amount of bites I had and was put on steroids. I called when we got home from our trip and was told they would investigate and call me back. I waited a week and nobody called me back so I called again. I was told they would call me back. 2 more weeks went by. I have now waited over three weeks and have had no one return my call. So I sent an email to Vacasa as it stated if we had any issues during our stay. I waited several more days after sending 2 more emails before I wrote this review to see if they would rectify the situation and they haven’t -so fair warning if you want to have bedbugs book this house of horrors!

The house was spacious great for families. Pool was small but convenient and it need of repair (the edging was broken or missing along the top of the water line). The house was dated kitchen cabinets have been painted white so looks better than photo. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. But the house was a bit dirty and worn. The Master shower door was rusty. The other bathrooms were nice, The beds were all comfortable. If given an good scrubbing it would be great. The patio needs to be cleaned. The concrete is black not sure if that is dirt or mold. The downstairs rec room was filthy and a bit trashed. Also would be great with some cleaning. The rec bath was convenient and fairly clean. The deck was nice as was the screen room. I would stay there again just hope it was a bit cleaner. We had a tv issue and Richard was extremely responsive. The problem continued but I think it was a cable issue not Vacasa.

We Found a New Favorite

The North Carolina Outer Banks is our go-to vacation spot, but from here on, we'll be driving the extra three hours to Hilton Head. We love that the commercial businesses have a muted appearance, and are not bright, loud, in-your-face storefronts begging you to spend your money on worthless trinkets. We didn't see any lifted 4x4 pickup trucks loaded with cases of beer and rowdy teenagers clad in battle-flag bikinis having a good time at others' expense. Our house was clean, well maintained, and we were pleasantly suprised to find small extras such as laundry detergent pods, dishwasher detergent, etc. waiting for us when we arrived. In a nutshell, I would describe Hilton Head as "The Outer Banks, Just For Grownups. We'll be back soon!

Nice for our fam I love of 4 + 2 dogs

We have an 8 year old and a 7 month year old. The house was nice for 1 parent to stay with the baby while the other went out with the older one. The pool is small, but it stays cool in the shade and was big enough for us to relax in. The beds were comfortable and AC super cold. We'd love to stay here again.

Great trip.

The only thing I had an issue with was the stove was not working. It has just been installed and the gas wasn’t turned in yet. We like to cook on vacation especially for dinner and using a hot pad was less than enjoyable. Should have been told that this was an issue so we could have changed our menu. We shopped prior to arriving so by the time we got there it was too late to change the menu.

Overall decent stay

The house was a great size for 8 people and the pool is small but adequate. Great location for biking to the beach. The house was generally clean (just don’t look at the dusty ceiling fans). There was some miscommunication from the management company about what appliances were working. I reached out every day for an update. They were responsive to my inquiries but the issue was never actually resolved. They did issue a credit for the inconvenience which I appreciated. Overall I would stay there again.

Had a nice time. Had two small insignificant issues that were resolved very quickly. That kind of service is a big deal. Place was clean, quiet and had plenty of room for eight people.

Nice property close to everything yet tucked into a nice lush and quiet neighborhood. About 3/4 mile walk or bike to the beach. Would stay there again for sure.
