Like great reviews? Here's one from Feb. 3. "Always clean, always easy process. Quality accommodation with lots of little extras that make it a cut above...". Here's another from Dec. 31, a repeat visitor. "My husband and I have been coming to Mentone for many years, and our son and his friend came with us. We enjoyed the Christmas decor and the cottage was very clean. Located across the Brow we got to see some great views and a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed shopping and eating at some great restaurants too. We will be coming back and hopefully stay at Moonflower Cottage."

We invite you to come visit Mentone at Moonflower Cottage. Mentone is a charming little town in northeast Alabama, just a few miles north of Fort Payne and 45 miles from Chattanooga. It was recently named one of the top 24 small towns in America. It sits atop Lookout Mountain, where the views are not only spectacular but there are wonderful places for hiking, the 104-foot DeSoto Falls just three miles away, and we are close to DeSoto State Park. The flora and fauna are spectacular year around and Moonflower is an easy 1/4-mile walk to the heart of Mentone, where there are charming stores and restaurants and more on the way. Be sure to visit the nonprofit Mentone Arts Center, as well as Elevation Bistro, Wildflower Cafe, the Mentone Market, The Hatter Restaurant and other specialty stores in town and nearby.

Moonflower Cottage will be the star of the your visit. Imagine being surrounded by antique furniture and oriental rugs, granite countertops and stainless appliances, two king en suites with full baths, and a fully equipped kitchen that's been described as "extraordinary."

The screened back porch offers gentle breezes, comfortable wicker furniture and a dining table for six. The front porch has four rocking chairs and it's the best place on earth to see incredible sunsets.

Loved the fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with necessities and appliances worked great. Bedrooms are nice size with attached bathrooms. Location is peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for sunsets. Washer and dryer worked well. Clean home. Clear communication with the host prior to arrival, upon arrival, and checkout. Description and photos of property are accurate.

Everything was great! Location had beautiful views of the sunsets, the home is clean, very comfortable, has an awesome fireplace, and fully stocked with kitchen, bed, and bath necessities. The back screened in porch is very nice, and the front porch is perfect to view the sunsets!!

This cottage is beautiful! Decorated so tastefully and so cozy and comfortable.Great location! Very convenient to restaurants and the road is paved all the way in. Beautiful sunsets behind the mountains on the front porch and morning coffee on the lovely screened in back porch. We look forward to coming back next year!

Literally, the best spot in all of Mentone! Right across the street from Brow Park with beautiful views over the valley below. Very quiet street, but within easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants! The cottage is very cozy and each room beautifully appointed. Rocking chair front porch for the sunsets and a very nice screened porch on the back for morning coffee! Great place for a weekend get-away! We would stay here again.

Moonflower Cottage is always beautiful— impeccably clean and perfectly situated on the brow of the mountain. The two porches—rocking chair front porch and a screened back porch—are wonderful places to visit with companions while enjoying the natural setting.

This immaculately kept cozy cottage is tastefully decorated and immediately makes you feel at home. The breathtaking sunsets are unforgettable, and the morning sunrises lift your spirits as you watch the clouds rise up from the valley below. The beds are comfortable and the back porch is charming. But our favorite spot is the rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking the brow. Highly recommend the Moonflower Cottage.

Moonflower Cottage in Mentone is our favorite “home away from home” - we absolutely love it! It is the perfect getaway to relax & recharge. God’s goodness is evident especially with the sunsets out the front door. The house is always so clean and the hosts are the best we have encountered. Very hospitable & available when needed. Mary and I chose to retire in Mentone after having a part-time home here for about 10 years. This special place grabbed our heart with its special spirit and incredibly friendly people. We were drawn to living atop Lookout Mountain, the beauty of all four seasons, the 100-foot waterfall and the charm of this place. It's our forever home.

We couldn't resist the location, location, location. The property is located on the west brow of Lookout Mountain, with a fabulous view of terrific sunsets from the rocking chairs on the front porch.. It's in Brow Park, just one-tenth of a mile to the city center, and easy walk to several restaurants and charming shops. It's time for a visit to the mountains of Alabama!

Location is the key – rock on our front porch and enjoy spectacular sunsets on the horizon. We're at an elevation of more than 1,860 feet so you can see for miles and miles and we have cooler than normal weather here so you can avoid hot summer weather almost all the time. Take a short drive to one of the highest waterfalls in Alabama at more than 100 feet. Perhaps best of all, you can walk to downtown Mentone and enjoy dining, the Art Center and speciality shops. Moonflower Cottage is equipped with every amenity we could think of and, if we're missing anything, let us know. There's a sweet, sweet spirit about Mentone. Come see us!
