We appreciate your detailed review and are glad that you found our villa spacious and well-appointed, with amenities such as lots of dishes, comfortable seating areas, and very good WiFi. We are truly sorry to hear that you found the location noisier than expected. Being situated at the edge of a small village, near a working farm, can sometimes contribute to the rural ambiance and occasional noise. We understand that this may not suit everyone's preference, and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused during your stay. It's a shame that you did not mention our hospitality and services during your stay, as they are a significant part of the overall experience we strive to provide. We were always on hand to assist you, whether it was booking taxis, rescuing you when you had a flat tyre, or rushing you to the railway station so a family member could catch the train to Rome. We are dedicated to ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay, and we regret that this aspect of our service was not highlighted in your review. Regarding the narrow streets and access roads, we understand that navigating a moderately large car can be challenging. We always provide clear directions and assistance to our guests to ensure they have the best possible experience upon arrival. We appreciate your comments about the kitchen supplies and will take your feedback into account. We provide a welcome basket with essentials to start your stay and will consider adding basic spices and condiments for added convenience. Thank you once again for your review. Thank you for your feedback. However I feel I must address the issues you mentioned. You arrived during an intense Tuscan heatwave, which has been challenging for everyone. Roocello is a restored olive mill with cool stone walls that typically don’t require air conditioning. However, the temperatures during your stay were unusually high. As stated in our listing, Roocello is a converted mill it is not a modern villa. There is low-level atmospheric lighting in the downstairs living and dining areas, chosen to maintain its historic ambiance. This beautiful rustic house is designed for those who wish to experience Tuscany as a local and appreciate historic buildings with a romantic atmosphere. We understand this might not suit everyone, especially if you are seeking high-spec bathrooms and modern amenities. Our competitive rental rate reflects the absence of air conditioning. Regarding the trash/garbage recycling, we clearly inform guests before booking that the local council takes recycling very seriously, and we understand that this can be a challenge for some. However, most of our guests are enthusiastic about recycling and contributing to environmental conservation. We appreciate your comments and are glad you still enjoyed your holiday, even if Roocello was not the perfect fit for your preferences

Dear Manuella, thank you for your review of Roocello. We are happy to hear that you found the property owner's artistic flair appealing! The owner is an artist and this type of property appeals to those looking for an authentic property restored with passion, care and respect for the origins of the building - in this case, an original mill. We are happy that you appreciated the large rooms, comfortable beds and fans in every room. As written in our description the property does not have air conditioning as normally it is not needed due to the thick stone walls of the mill. However, this summer Tuscany like the rest of Europe experienced a fierce heatwave which came without warning. I am sorry you did not find the wifi efficient enough for your group - again we do not advertise the wifi as being high speed. However, we are hoping to improve the situation in September when the owner is finally able to travel from Australia. I am sorry but we can not add a window to a historical building for a bathroom but the other two bathrooms do have windows. Regarding the toilet seat lid, I am very sorry that you didn't mention this upon the discovery of the broken item as you mentioned I kept in contact with you throughout your stay and you could have mentioned this once you had discovered it and we could have had if fixed immediately. Thank you again for your feedback it's great to know that you enjoyed the village bakery and the other amenities in this small semi-rural town from where it’s also possible to have a day at the beach!

It's a shame you were here for the heatwave, I understand why it was a little warm inside the house and I wish we could have changed that. As you you know the property owners live in Australia but i have mentioned to them that this current heatwave could mean they may have to install air con although it's not normally necessary.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the swimming pool - unfortunately we are not able to change the aspect of the pool as it has been designed around the layout of the garden.
