We’re Maryann and Ralph Wolf, the owners behind Wolf Retreats. What started with one vacation home has grown—somewhat unexpectedly!—into a collection of four distinctive Arizona properties that we personally own and operate.

We didn’t originally set out to build a vacation rental business. Along the way, we discovered that we genuinely enjoy creating homes where people can gather, relax and make memories. Maryann brings a background in healthcare technology and a love of design, details and the guest experience, while Ralph is the hands-on half of the team, helping manage, maintain and continually improve our properties.

One home led to another as we learned what guests value and kept asking ourselves, “What could we do to make this even better?” Our collection grew to include our Tempe home, two Scottsdale homes—Cottage Oasis and Pool House—and most recently, our mountain retreat in Flagstaff. Together, they became Wolf Retreats.

Each home has its own personality and experience. We don’t believe in creating cookie-cutter vacation rentals. Instead, we work to make each property fit its setting while providing the comfort, thoughtful amenities and little extras we would want when traveling ourselves.

Double Retreat came about in a particularly unusual way: Cottage Oasis and Pool House are located in Scottsdale and are directly across the street from one another. Offering them together allows larger families and groups to vacation together while still enjoying the space and privacy of two complete homes.

Although our portfolio has grown, our approach hasn’t changed. These aren’t anonymous properties managed from afar. We remain personally involved in our homes and are always adding, improving and fine-tuning.

We hope our guests can feel that difference—and, most importantly, have a wonderful place to reconnect with the people who matter to them.

We love this neighborhood because it offers something that's increasingly difficult to find in Scottsdale: a peaceful residential setting with incredible access to everything that makes Scottsdale and the surrounding Valley such a great destination.

The Scottsdale Greenbelt is just a couple of blocks away, offering miles of paths for walking, running and biking. Nearby Chaparral Park and Lake provide even more outdoor recreation, with golf, tennis and pickleball all close by.

Scottsdale is a golfer's paradise, with an incredible selection of courses throughout the area. For those who prefer the trails, some of the Valley's best hiking and desert scenery are within easy reach, including Camelback Mountain, the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and Papago Park.

Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Fashion Square are just minutes away, with an amazing selection of restaurants, shopping, nightlife, galleries and entertainment. You'll also be conveniently located for Spring Training, Talking Stick, Topgolf, OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland and many of Scottsdale's most popular attractions.

Our central location also makes it easy to explore beyond Scottsdale. With convenient access to the Loop 101 and major Valley routes, you can easily reach Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa and other parts of the Valley—whether you're heading to a sporting event, concert, hiking trail, golf course, airport or another Arizona adventure.

What we especially love is being able to enjoy all of this without staying in the middle of a busy tourist district. The neighborhood is established and residential, with mature landscaping, real yards and nearby parks. At the end of the day, you can come home to your own private pools, grassy backyards and patios and simply relax.
