Hacienda Bellavista in Vieques: Unmatched views and total privacy. Secluded compound, at the crest of one of the highest points on the island, gentle ocean breezes, stunning views across to Puerto Rico and Culebra to the North, and over to the bio bay and beaches to the South. Two separate homes make up the property: main house and one separate casita. Main house includes 3 bed rooms, 3 full private bathrooms, overhead fans, and air conditioning. Fully-equipped kitchen and family area opens through large wooden doors into dramatic open-air living area w/comfortable seating area and over sized custom-made dining table. Well-kept grounds (2 acres) and pool with 180 degree ocean views. Stairs lead from main house down to casita with full kitchen, seating area, deck, large bathroom, overhead fans and A/C, BR in a raised alcove. The casita provides couples or families a lovely option for privacy, just steps from the main house. The house and casita are rented together as one property.

This place was amazing, the view is breathtaking. Plenty of room for a family of ten. Everything we needed for the week and lots of extras, would definitely recommend. We had so much fun, island winds made it so comfortable. Lots of games, pool and beach toys. Very clean. Great trip.

Views, space, quick 10 min drive to both sides.

Amazing views, great space for 9 of us, had everything we needed. Close drive to atlantic and carribbean and both towns. Would easily go back and stay here again, Christina was easy to get a hold of to help clean the pool and attend to any questions about wifi, etc.

Lovely property & spectacular views

Property was very clean & spacious. The open air dining room and sitting area were great for our large group. The basement room (full & 4 twins) was musty, luckily we only needed it 1 night. Christina was going to get a new dehumidifier which should help in the future. It was great that all rooms had bathrooms which was ideal for 3 couples. We would stay here again.

Beautiful Island Retreat

The property has the best views on the island, the setup is remarkable and it feels safe and secluded. Christina is a very nice, attentive property manager who went above and beyond to make our vacation great. Her recommendations on where to eat and what to do were spot on! Will definitely b e staying here again!

Gorgeous retreat

What a fabulous location for our extended family gathering (9 of us--adults and teens!). The view was incredible; there were so many beautiful spaces to gather, chat, and relax. The gentle breezes in the loggia and at the pool kept all bugs away and made it incredibly comfortable to be outside. Inside, the impeccably clean spaces have all the amenities you need to be comfortable and be at ease. And, the visits from the horses were a delightful surprise! Thank you to Christina who was a wonderful local host and resource. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect vacation!

We loved our stay at Finca Bella Vista! The view is unbeatable, and the property had everything a family needs. The spacious kitchen and outdoor BBQ were perfect for cooking. It's a quiet retreat, just a short drive from the best beaches in Vieques. The host made the in person check-in process easy and had excellent communication. Highly recommended property!

One of the best views on the island

The house met and exceeded all expectations. By far the best property we have ever stayed in on the island. The views are spectacular. Christina was very pleasant and easy to contact. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely rent again.

Wonderful place! Amazing views, closed to everything, great house and fantastic pool!

Christina was very helpful and easy to work with. Fantastic property. Our kids loved spending the evenings in the pool, complete with colored lighting. We would certainly stay here again. Would be ideal for a couple of families to share.

Lovely Spot, great views

The villa was very nice, clean and well appointed. Nice breezes sitting at the top of the hill. Christina, the caretaker was great! Great communication and helped us with some provisioning and cooked 2 meals for us. Island was very nice, and the villa was a short drive from either of the 2 main towns. Esperanza had better restaurants than Isabelle.

Amazing!

The property was even more beautiful than the pictures! The view, the breeze on the hill top, the pool, the comfort and beauty of the home we just perfect for our family vacation! And it was an easy drive to town and the beaches. Loved all the beach chairs, umbrellas and towels that were supplied. Christina the property manager was friendly and helpful--going above and beyond to be sure we has just what we needed.

The View Can’t be Beat

I have visited Vieques 6 times and I was very happy with the house. The view was outstanding! The pool area was wonderful! Our favorite area was the porch. What a wonderful outdoor area. The kitchen could use a few more items for those who love to cook. Mercedes, the manager was on the ball and did everything to make our stay perfect!

A great find on Vieques

The views from this property are no less than spectacular. Being on the top of the ridge, the house stays cool from the cross breezes. Large communal room was perfect for our group to eat and socialize. I loved sharing the property with the many lizards and iguanas! and the incredible frog noises.

The property was very nice. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of spices, Tupperware dishes etc. Very convenient for cooking. There were plenty of towels and other beach amenities provided. This isnt walkable to anything, but a very beautiful view.

Amazing place!

Great place for our party of 10! This place is incredible 🙂 Hacienda BellaVista is a short (10-15 minute ) drive to Esperanza & all the best snorkeling beaches. The house is equipped with everything you will need 😃 Christina was awesome about helping us find the place & get checked in. She was quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had. Check out was a breeze. We hated to leave! Highly recommend 🙂

Beautiful hilltop retreat

The upstairs of the main house is wonderful — stunning views of the town and ocean. The main room is breezy. comfortable and tastefully designed. The two bedrooms are very nice. The small, charming swimming pool affords views as well. Down the steps, the adjoining casita (underneath the owner-reserved studio) is well appointed and attractive. We felt that the rooms underneath the main house were more like a dormitory than a comfortable living unit. It might be suitable for a few teenagers but not for most guests. We think this house is a gem which can very nicely accommodate three couples. Children will likely have to rough it a bit. The agent, Christina, is extremely responsive and helpful.

spectacular views in a very comfortable house

My family of 5 loved this house. We all had plenty of comfortable space for ourselves. The pictures dont do it justice. We never needed the A/C because of the perfect breeze in the open air layout. Pool and pool deck were terrific with nice chairs, big views and glorious water. Caretakers were awesome and very helpful as we were fresh to Vieques. I can almost 100% percent guarantee we will be back to this house.

Perfect home base on Vieques!

We were two families with kids and everyone loved this home. The view was magical and everyone enjoyed the pool and running around the property. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The property manager does a great job keeping everything in order and makes sure you have everything you need. There were ample cooking supplies, toiletries and linens. There was a lot of beach gear like chairs and beach toys which was wonderful! The location is in the center of the island which is perfect to get to all the beaches. Would highly recommend this house and hopefully we can return one day!

Wonderful Home in a Stunning Setting!

This home is ideally situated to access either Isabel II or Esperanza with ease. It has a hilltop setting offering spectacular views, privacy and comfort. The home is tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, furniture, ceiling fans and bedroom A/C for sleeping comfort. We were 2 couples (could have easily had 2 more couples!) and were very happy with this home! Hope to be back!! Mark, the home caretaker, met us at the car rental and we followed him to the house on day 1. He answered our many questions in detail, responded to us very quickly when we had further questions, made great suggestions as to where to eat and which beaches to visit for sunning and snorkeling and was generally very helpful and reliable!

Incredible home with breathtaking views

When we arrived to this property our family was pretty much speechless. It's is simply gorgeous. The home is open to the outdoors and the trade winds were blowing through the house all week! (A bird even flew right through and gorgeous geckos are everywhere) Gardens/patio/pool 365 views of the island. The roosters wake you up in the morning to a gorgeous sunrise and it's an easy 15-20 minute drive to unspoiled pristine beaches. The kitchen is fully stocked and grill brand new. We did a lot of cooking and Christina was a very helpful and responsive host. The giant igaunas on the property and island were a constant source of amusement for our kids who ran around the entire time. Snorkeling gear/toys for pool/umbrellas and coolers for beach--made avail to us was a HUGE plus. Lovely birds in the gorgeous trees on the property and fragant tropical plants. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We are in love with Vieques now

Breathtaking views, clean & comfortable

Four nights in Vieques, this property is wonderful, we stayed only in the upstairs of the main house. Everything was good, well-appointed, comfortable, and the communication was very good. The pool is stunning, it was an exceptional vacation and a wonderful place to be. There was a downstairs room with lots of beds and a bathroom, and a second building with a one bedroom apartment with great views, a bath and kitchen --so this was more than our group needed. The listing said is was a few minute's walk to the beach, and it is not, it's in the middle of the island on a hilltop, but that was fine because it was a 10 minute drive from either Esperanza to the south--where there are the most beautiful beaches in the world and some restaurants-- or Isabella--where the ferry came in. Also, we were told to get in touch with Mercedes who no longer manages the property. Christina, the actual property manager, had texted us, she met us at the property late in the evening to give us a tour and show us where all the switches were. So not right on the water, but very centrally located and easy to get to the beaches. You need to rent a jeep to access this property, and for driving around Vieques. It's fun to drive from one stunning beach to another. These were the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to.

Pure Relaxation

We rented this property with the sole purpose of relaxation. It didn’t disappoint! The pool has unrivaled views and we spent many days lounging and reading our books poolside. The great room was comfortable for our group of 3 couples and we spent most mornings and evenings relaxing in this area of the house. The artwork throughout the house is special and adds to the ambiance and sense of “home”. Christina was a top notch property manager and was always responsive and helpful when we had questions. We couldn’t have asked for better communication. The highlight of our trip (besides the pool) included delicious home style meals prepared (and delivered) by Chef Sonia Romero at Biekes Bistro and a chartered boat tour with Viequenese Charters. Notable restaurants include TinBox, Coqui Fire and El Quenepo; all places we will eat at again next year. My only recommendations to make the home more user friendly would be the addition of hooks and laundry baskets in the bathrooms. These are only minor “comfort” details and did not impact the quality of our stay. This property is worthy of a 5-star rating and we will likely never consider another property on the island. Looking forward to next year!
