Had a wonderful stay. Bob was super helpful with my questions, and quick to respond! Place was clean, had a kitchen full of dishes to use, had a good working tv and was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. I’ve stayed at Gulfview before, but this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with lodging on the island ! 10/10 recommend.

Our second home

Vintage charm at its best. This condo has everything you need. Super close to everything you have a view of the Bay on the Gulf at the same time. Thank you, Robert, we'll be back.

A bit disappointed

Fairly clean but dated facility. Old cabinets, appliances. Couch not comfortable to sit on; way too soft and no support. Same with bed. Looked forward to getting up in morning. Caused hips and back to hurt and normally I could hit a hot shower but water just warm. Tub/shower pan much higher than floor so you have to be careful getting out. You have to step down way lower than expected and could lose balance. View of Gulf and Space X as expected and good. One thing to be aware of is people love to gyn their car's engines all night which will wake you up. Access to beach was easy. No toaster. I had to fix toilet seat that was coming off. No batteries for LR remotes, so couldnt use the TV. It was ok as we just streamed on Ipad. Overall, a bit disappointing as we could have stayed for less at the Holiday Inn Express down the road and gotten a free breakfast. Just wanted to be honest about our experience; no upset

Exactly as expected!

This is our second time at the property and we loved our stay. Nice view, close to everything, and Bob is a great host!

Great location!

Easy walk to the beach!! Loved the location! There were lots of extras such as rafts for pool, wagon, chairs, beach mats, etc. The only downside was that it was a little run down. There are some repairs that need done, but suited us fine for the price.

From northern climate and place was perfect for what I was looking for. I worked from the condo and had no issues with internet the whole month I was there. I had zero complaints with the property.

Starbase visit

Property was very nice with a good view south towards Starbase. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay to witness future starship launches.

Home away from home

Beach Get Away

Clean and safe. Nice and close to beach. Nothing fancy but would recommend if you want to go to SPI and use you $ for the trip and not just on a place to stay.

Great place for the price

Bob was awesome, I love the staff at Gulf View we had a great time!! Bob's place was perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep, cook when we wanted and sit by the pool!! Great communication, and we did not have any issues while we were there. I must also say the utility company on the island is awesome, big storm came thru one night, 100MPH winds and the power went out. They had it back on in less than 12 hours. If that happened where I live I would be out for a couple weeks!

Perfect Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay. We got to see the Space X rocket launch during our visit! The condo had a perfect view of the launch. The owner had excellent communication. We will definitely be back.

Great location!

Great value for a beach vacation. We stayed for almost 2 months. Had pretty much everything we needed for an extended stay. We would stay here again.

Gulfview 2 room 409

For the price you can't really beat it. Was exactly what I expected. Perfect for me and the wife to get away from home and relax. Owner was easy to communicate with. All the staff we ran into were super helpful and really cool people. Only problem we had was the air conditioning never worked the whole time we were there but at night it was cool enough that we could just open the doors and let the ocean breeze cool it off. Wasn't there much during the day when it was on the hotter side or it would have been frustrating having to deal with the issue. Had a bit of a problem with ants as well but not a major issue.

Excellent Property/Excellent Property Owner Communication

Exact to the listing...this property did not disappoint. Very clean, well maintained, easily accessible. I had several questions before my trip and property owner answered those in less than 24 hours. Upon arriving, I got mixed up and could not access the unit but with a quick call answered on first attempt again the property owner answered. I recommend this place. The price point was great for the biggest holiday of the year. I recommend this condo.

Great location

The location is wonderful, you have small views of both the bay and the surf side, plus the water park. The access to the beach is really great. Check in was easy and the place, though simple, was great for our needs.

It is a great location for beach lovers of all ages there are always lots of fun things going on at south padre island and why pay double at the schlitterbahn hotel when you can get a condo with a separate bedroom and a full kitchen for half the price.
