The condo is as pictured. Amazing views from the balcony. If we were stopping the review there it would be 4-5 stars. However, we selected this condo for the oceanfront access and the beach. With a 7, 11 and 12 year old they really don’t care about the views. They want to swim in the ocean. The beach is everything. After the reservation was accepted and non-refundable, Scott, the owner, informed us there were “some rocks” on the beach. He said it was not a big deal and if we walked to the pool, then proceeded to walk down the beach further…we would get to an area where the beach had no rocks. Well, when we arrived we found that it was not just rocks but a full reef….additionally, the walk to the area he spoke of is at least 10….more like 15 minutes with kids and beach gear. You can try to drive but there is limited parking at the pool. I relayed these concerns to Scott and recommended he update his posting as this area was not appropriate for kids. He said he did not control the beach and I replayed, but you do control what you post about the property! While we were there a full grown man needed to be attended to by the fire department and paramedics because he caught his foot in the reef and sustained a large laceration. The other issue with the resort is the wait to come through the gate. Every time you go in and out the guard has to scan your pass. This can take 1 minute or 30minutes if there is a line. We had many occasions where we waited 10-15 minutes to be scanned into the property. So, in closing, if you don’t mind having to walk or drive to nearby beaches or if you are willing to have your kids swim at a beach that has a posted “swim at your own risk” sign at the entrance to the beach and you don’t mind using your time sitting in your car waiting to get checked in by the guards….then this is the place for you. But it does have amazing views from the balcony!
