Whoever the Outpost hires for photography, does a great job at making this place look amazing because it sure fooled us! The place is severely outdated with many broken amenities. The queen bed was comfy but the pillows were horrible. They were so extremely thin and uncomfortable. If we doubled the pillows in half, they were rock hard. Time to invest in some new pillows!! The windows were broken and wouldn't even close. The windows in the twin bedroom and the queen bedroom wouldn't open or close. The handles wouldn't even turn. The screen in this bedroom was so completely bent that it didn't even pay to have it in the window. It wouldn't have stopped any bugs anyways. The blinds didn't even work well.
The fans they provided were incredibly dusty...like a good 1/4 inch of dust on them. The place does not have air conditioning so the fans were a must since they did not have ceiling fans. Also, if you could get the fans to stay plugged in to the ancient old outlets, great. If not, the plugs would constantly fall out...as did the nightlights we had to purchase extra because there was no lighting at night.
The door handle was leading out to the hallway was loose and you had to pull the door very hard to get it to latch shut. The kitchen was very outdated and the knives were completely broken. Oh, and the door frame going into the twin bedroom had an extremely large piece of the frame broken which could have easily splintered.
Also, the cleaning staff thought 11 PM was a good time to start vacuuming/cleaning.
To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We paid quite a bit of money to stay here and really expected a great stay. I will say we will never stay in this place again. When we booked a place in Teton Village, we expected something that was going to be in great shape! We know this isn't the Four Seasons or The Continuum, but we expected much better than we got.
