Sundial stay

What a great experience. The accommodations were fantastic. The location perfect. I’ll definitely be returning to Hopkins, and staying at the sundial.

Hopkins retreat

Our stay was amazing. From the quaint unit to falling asleep listening to the waves and wind it couldn’t get better. We watched the sunrise, used the bikes, sat on the patio under the lights and literally relaxed. Would stay here again!

Great Escape

It’s a great property but really not for beach swimming. Very clean and very very quiet. Bed is extremely comfy.

Comfortable and welcoming bungalow

Easy space and surrounding to spend time in with a variety of places to relax on property. Greatly appreciated the kitchen and well stocked dishes so we could relax in the mornings without having to go out. Loved to ease of access to the water and opportunity to paddle around. Was a quiet setting with easy access to both Sittie and Hopkins.

Beautiful Location

Great rental! We enjoyed the deck and dock for hanging out in the constant ocean breeze. The small waves were a welcome background. Great location with plenty of restaurants for Belizean food. Lots of windows and fans so we never used AC. I wish we had more time to relax at the rental but spent most of it touring the area.

Exactly what we expected.

We had driven past this property several times in the past when we were in the area so we knew what to expect from the outside and its location. However, we have never seen the inside and it was exactly what we needed for the two of us for a few days. We both slept like babies in the comfortable bed.

Beautiful sunsets and the sound of the sea

We really enjoyed our stay and the management team were exceptional. The beach was cleaned each week and the bed linens changed as well. We stayed for one month which was long enough to get to see the manatee, gibnuts, raccoons and amazing jumping fish. Bicycles are provided as are kayaks so there is plenty to do and explore. It’s just a pleasure to hear the sound of the sea as one falls asleep. These are the simple pleasures we value so we don’t need much in the way of luxuries. It is a simple little cabana but perfectly adequate for a short or long stay. Thanks for hosting us!

Perfect location, close to town but quiet and private with easy access to the ocean. Having use of the kayak was a nice surprise.

The house is super cute with a great view! Love the protected patio when it rains. Location is good. House amenities were perfect, nice and cozy. Stayed two weeks and was offered housekeeping half way through, thank you. Would recommend and stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay! We felt it was super cozy and location was great as we had a golf cart. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in and falling asleep to the waves of the sea was pure magic. We loved sitting on the balcony and taking in the sea. It was truly the perfect stay. You absolutely need a car or golf cart. We rented a golf cart and was super easy to put put around. The hotel district is very close, and the village where all the good food is also not too far. I’d highly recommend the sundial beach cabana for anyone looking for a comfy and quaint home base where you can be out and about during the days and evenings. They have a full kitchen although we explored all the amazing restaurants for each meal and never needed to cook, other than having coffee in the mornings. There’s no beach access or it doesn’t seem swimmable but we went out each day so that didn’t bother us that we weren’t able to swim or have a beach because we went elsewhere. Communication with Caroline and Reimi was easy! I can’t say enough amazing things. We miss it already and can’t wait to return.

Great location

Great home base for exploring Hopkins and local areas. Rent a car in BZE, Dangriga or from the golf cart shop in Hopkins. Mirko is a pro and he can set you up with whatever you need - diving, snorkeling, jungle tours, horseback riding, dining...This is the second time we rented a property he manages.

We are Caroline & Jesse. We first visited Belize back in 2005 and fell in love with this small yet diverse country. In 2018, we took the plunge and bought the Sundial Beach Cabana, our home away from home. We try and spend as much time as possible there, but when we can't, we hope to share our love for Belize with others. We hope we get to host you.

Our property is quiet and secluded but close to all amenities. We are right on the ocean so it's easy to take advantage of the sea kayaks. Watch for baby rays hiding under the viewing platform. If you are lucky you might see a manatee or 2.
