We have stayed in Lighthouse 507 a few times. It's not a horrible condo but it's becoming dated. Some things like the pull-out sofa and beds have been updated as well as the dishwasher. That's about it. The laundry dryer needs replaced. It literally took 3 hours to dry 6 beach towels (yes, on the high setting and with frequent lint filter cleaning, and a very long time to dry clothes. The lint filter has a permanent red lint buildup that we first noticed a few years ago. The laundry room is also very dark from an insufficient ceiling light. The shower handle in the master shower fell off. Obviously someone prior to me noticed it because they just left it hanging on the threaded lever it's supposed to be connected too. I contacted Marie our Vacasa agent and she sent a Vacasa maintenance man to fix it Carey, who was a really nice guy and very apologetic, didn't have the part needed to fix it so they called a professional plumber. I'll summarize to save time...21 hours, our Vacasa agent, a Vacasa maintenance man, the Lighthouse HOA president, and 2 plumbers later it was repaired. The first plumber worked on it until almost midnight when he discovered even he couldn't fix it. Marie was very helpful and genuinely concerned about getting this problem taken care of . She also saw to it that we received a $250 refund on our stay. Marie was awesome and so was Carey the maintenance man. With all that being said my wife and I agreed that the units managed by companies other than Vacasa appear to be much cleaner and more updated. This is our second negative stay with Vacasa. When we stayed in Lighthouse 201 a few years ago it was awful. And yes I contacted Vacasa several times about mold, etc in that unit. We are very appreciative of Marie's attentive customer service and the refund we received. I must say however that we will not book with Vacasa again. We have had much better luck with local rental companies in the past and will do business with them on future visits. Oh and the lady who works in the Lighthouse office (not for Vacasa) during the day is very rude and short tempered. She could use some customer service training and a class on basic manners.
