Charming Beach House

We rented both cottages for a family stay. Really beautiful homes. The property is very tastefully renovated. Very private and cozy. Perfect for multi family trip. The host was ver responsive. One of our family's better stayed with VRBO.

The property surpassed our expectations. The attention to detail, décor, little touches throughout, and location made our stay extra special. I will highly and confidently recommend the Cottages at Stinson Beach. You must place this on your list to visit. You'll be glad you did!

Citchen Capers

We rented both units and had a joyous time. In the process of 'living' and enjoying both units I believe that we moved almost everything from one kitchen to the other. We had a passing thought of trying to put each back to where it belonged, but decided that the ladies who cleaned after us would actually have a better idea where and how many of everything each kitchen needed. We shall return if allowed...Cece

An amazing break for a week

It looked great from the listing, and it really delivered! The kitchens are beautiful, and something you can't tell, is how well appointed they are. Not just the appliances, but everything you need from cookware, to knives, to crockery; it's all there. I've never seen a rental with a Le Creuset in it before! The overall cleanliness was spot on, with everything you could need (beach towels, cleaning supplies, extra gas canisters, you name it) all there. I had a question about the firepits and the owner was instantly responsive - within fifteen minutes. Then there's the location. If you've not been to Stinson, there is one area where you can get groceries, a restaurant, etc. This place is walkable to everything. And by walkable I mean "within three minutes" walkable. Then the beach is within five at most. And you can see the ocean from the deck in 4. Downsides include: not being able to stay longer and, uh, well, that's about it. Could get a little cold in 2 overnight because that one doesn't have central, but boo hoo, the heaters work really well.

The BEST of Stinson Beach

This property is AMAZING! looks just like the photos, stylish and comfortable. They have everything you need for an incredible retreat. The beds were heaven. Everywhere you looked there was a cozy place to sit or swing and take in the ocean breeze. We went with friends both families have 2 kids. Everyone was satisfied!! And literally steps away from yummy food, hot coffee, beach, playground, yet it's very PRIVATE! Drove in and did not get back in the car for 5 days. Can not wait to go again. Truly a special place.

Great 70th birthday family celebration

Accommodated our three generation family perfectly. Four couples. Four children (5 months to 18 years). We rented both units. Taken together, the units are well furnished, tho some items are in small supply in one unit but ample in another. Location is terrific-five minute walk to the beach, restaurants, book store, bike store and grocery store. Combined back yard (surrounded by a high fence) is superb-large outdoor dining table in one unit, hot tub in the other-when you rent both units, you have access to the entire back yard. Ample living rooms. Bedrooms vary in size as do bathrooms but they all work well. These are beach cottages (complete with the occasional mouse sighting, ant enduring and biting insects) but, unless you are expecting high luxury, these units make for an excellent and comfortable beach week vacation. And Wendy is a very responsive owner.

A great visit to Stinson Beach

Beautiful property that is a short walking distance to the beach as well as the local restaurants and stores. Very comfortable and conveniently located. We really enjoyed our stay.

Adorable cottage

Such a great break from the city! Very sweet cottage and great backyard. So close to the beach! We had some problems with the heat but the owner was extremely responsive. Would love to stay again!

Amazing Beach Vacation

Cute, cozy and functional. Recently renovated and owner did a great job! Amazing location, as close as can be to beach without being on the beach. cute backyard, great for outdoor dinner or grilling. nearly next door to Parkside, an outstanding restaurant and your source for any groceries coffee, ice cream etc.

We are a family of four and we live just over the mountain from Stinson Beach. For decades now Stinson has been our #1 place to play. Like our absolute favorite place to go in any season. Our souls are happy out there. We’ve dreamed for years of buying a place in Stinson, but honestly never thought it would be in the cards given the real estate market. In June 2019, the stars aligned and we were able to buy the Cottages at Stinson Beach, which was then set up as a set of long term rentals. It was truly a dream come true, like in a pinching ourselves, mouths wide open kind of way. We’ve spent the last half-year fixing and replacing nearly every system on the property, a labor of head-over-heels-love. 1,000 decisions — big, small, and everything in between. We designed the Cottages with an eye towards all the things we love to do in Stinson — sit with family and friends around a sofa, table, or fire pit; cook great meals together in really lovely kitchens; take long lingering baths while gazing at the stars; and of course, immerse in all of the magic that is Stinson Beach. It’s an extraordinary spot that makes us all breath easy and smile more.

We’ve set the place up with all that we think you’ll need. Really great organic mattresses and the softest sheets. Brand new, high functioning sets of kitchen knives. The best sofas. We searched for furniture and art in antique stores, aiming to source beautiful things that have not been created brand new. We arranged sleeping spaces that are private, flexible, and cozy. And we created gardens, decks, and balconies made for morning coffee, evening wine, and lots of laughing.
