Solange and Jean-Pierre (a sculptor specializing in gilding) welcome you to an authentic, meticulously restored 18th-century tileworks, nestled in a peaceful setting on a rare 7-hectare property (partially listed as a Historic Monument for its magnificent drying shed). Located in the heart of a rural hamlet steeped in history, the hamlet once housed a priory founded in the 11th century (whose remains still exist) dedicated to young women from the local nobility (the famous "Ladies of Lancharre"). Perfectly preserved and boasting a unique heritage (a listed 11th-century Romanesque church, beautiful typical houses, listed medieval tombstones, a 15th-century tileworks, the fortified gate of a former royal abbey, etc.), the site enjoys a bucolic, rural, and natural setting, nestled at the edge of a vast forest amidst verdant hedged meadows, just a stone's throw from the first vineyards. The gîte offers excellent comfort. A beautiful, cathedral-ceilinged living room bathed in light thanks to its eaves. Its warm, rustic charm is enhanced by modernist design touches, further enriched by the unique character of the original structure (unusual half-timbered frame, exposed beams, and terracotta tiles).
