The log exterior of Black Bear Lodge is reminiscent of the grand old lodges of the American West and is a favorite destination in Deer Valley Resort's Silver Lake Village. Located just across the street from the slopes, this recently updated 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom property that sleeps 6 checks off of all the boxes for a great Deer Valley ski trip or a summer escape!

Enjoy the lodge-like feel when you walk into the unit. The open floor plan creates a light and airy shared space with a spacious kitchen, dining table for 6, and a cozy living room that is anchored by the river rock fireplace. Each intimate bedroom features a full ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The start of the 20+ mile long Mid Mountain Trail is only a few hundred yards away and takes you on a hiking or biking adventure. When you return from a day of exploring our trails or skiing enjoy a soak in your private hot tub out on the deck. If you rented or road-tripped here there is one reserved underground parking spot that is included with this property.*

Make sure to enjoy all the perks The Black Bear Lodge has to offer. Get some peace and quiet to finish off work emails before you sign off for your vacation in the business center, soak tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub, swim laps in the heated outdoor pool, grill up some tasty eats for some dining alfresco, stretch and sweat in the fully-equipped fitness room plus other amenities such as on-site front desk and local on-demand shuttle.**

Deer Valley- great condo

We had a nice stay here. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen and bathrooms, hot tub on deck and across the street from the slopes. Will be back!

Excellent rental. Abode personnel were totally on it and helped to make this among the best renal experiences I've had. The location and condition of the property were excellent. Quick walk to restaurants, ski rentals, ski lifts. Downtown Park City is a 10 min drive. I would definitely rent this property again and will seek out Abode rentals in the future.

Family Ski vacation

Well-appointed and cozy two bedroom unit conveniently located mid-mountain within short walk to Silver Lake Village shops and ski area. The unit has one king bedroom and the second bedroom is spacious with two full beds. There is also underground parking for a vehicle. Access to Park City and all of its dining and shopping options is an easy 10 min drive from the condo. All in all Black Bear Lodge is a wonderful option for anyone looking to stay in the Silver Lake Village area.

Great central location

Everything was as described. The condo was easily located once we were in the parking garage, but we arrived after midnight and were not provided a code to enter the parking garage. It took a long time wandering around the property in the dark to find a way into the garage. Other than that we would definitely stay here again! The only thing I would change would be new pillows on the beds...they were really lacking..

Best property in Park City

This is the ideal location for those who like to be able to wake up and easily walk to the slopes mid-mountain (where restaurants, shops and a ski check is perfectly placed) as well as enjoy some of best of Park City, just a short drive away. The amenities were perfect for our young family, who love to hop in the hot tub after a day of skiing, cook up some meals and have space to enjoy some quiet downtime at the end of the day. The living room's fireplace sitting area was a frequent hot spot for family game nights and the dining table is large enough to work remotely in the morning while the kids enjoyed their breakfast. The staff was proactive, friendly and very responsive over text as was the Black Bear lobby staff. We would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended this property to others.

Will use Abode again in the future

Abode did a great job - very good, specific instructions on everything, and getting access was very detailed and easy, which makes it a pleasant experience. Communication is easy and everyone was very nice and helpful. I think you have customer service dialed ind and I have no gripes or complaints. The only thing that happened to us was we extended our stay one day and our access code expired, so we had to call to get it working again. It wasn't a big deal and it went smoothly.

Abode went above and beyond to make our stay special. The communication leading up to and during our stay was easy and impeccable. Once checked in, we were greeted with a basket of snacks, wine & beer in the fridge. On our last day, we requested a late check-out & it was granted. I will DEFINITELY stay here again!

Black Bear Lodge Great Location

The condo is very clean, it is in a great location, very short walk to Silver Lake and hiking trails. We also really enjoyed the hot tub which they have serviced once a week. The property management team were great to work with, they are very nice and responded quickly to any questions we had. Check-in was super easy. The only thing we didn't love are the bedrooms are really dark, they back to the middle portion of the building, the windows face the walkway so if you open the blinds people coming and going can easily see in. Also the dryer doesn't work but management offered to come pick-up our wet clothes and dry them. We did not take them up on their offer and chose to let our clothes air dry. But the offer was greatly appreciated. Overall it was a nice getaway.

The best place to stay!

Great place to make your Deer Valley skiing base camp, especially during CoVid! Here's why: - 286 steps to slopes (yes I counted!) and they were mostly flat which is a bonus. - DV resort has ski storage as a courtesy, so the quick walk was even easier. - Private hot tub; especially nice in CoVid times - Plenty of bathrooms and hot water and towels, and comfy beds - I also loved the personalized access codes created for our group; we got in late from SLC airport (45 min rental car drive away) and we didn't need to check in with any receptionist or other building that has a key like so many other properties that are in a ski resort. - Waiting for us in the fridge was some cold beer, cheese, sausage, wine, and bake your own cookies; a really nice touch! - WiFi that actually worked and a smart TV that we could easily Airplay content. What I wish( that the host can't control) is that the ski village had more restaurants and coffee shops open during CoVid, but I understand why they weren't open. It meant we had to make the morning coffee and pastry, which the kitchen was stocked all up for. Also a nearby grocery or bodega in the village would have been nice. Because there was so little in terms of food available nearby, plan on driving into town to get supplies/dine (5 min drive) or taking the bus which stops right outside the front door, or have a food delivery group lined up (the host has info on suggestions for this.) A great experience. I highly recommend.

Perfect!

This was an excellent place to stay in Deer Valley. You don't need a car. They provide transportation if you need it around town. We could easily walk to the slopes and places to eat. Lovely kitchen to prepare your own meals. We had groceries delivered upon our arrival.

Deer Valley

Had a great time, really enjoyed Deer Valley. Walking distance to hiking and shops. A few issues with check in, lobby closed so difficult to get into unit after 5 pm. Figured out garage unloading after walking around front and back of building for a bit. Code sent to me was wrong for unit door so had to call to get correct code. Space in unit was good overall, but if you go for a week and bring supplies, there’s limited cupboard space. condo a bit cluttered so difficult to find space for my stuff. Location perfect and unit very clean. Dishes, plates, etc. we’re adequate for stay. Beds comfortable and getting a grill was great for meals. Also booked through vrbo, but not clear that happystays was the app for information and check out etc. Overall a great stay. Thanks
