Spacious property in a beautiful setting, yet rustic

Overall, we enjoyed the property in large part because it suited the size of our group and the property offered some amazing views and space to enjoy the outdoors. We had about 20 people for a 50th birthday party. We were able to relax and spread out in the sitting areas and the bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed. The pool and the hot tub with absolutely majestic views were a highlight for me and many of our guests. A staff member came each day to visit the house, and Kira, one of the two, was kind and helpful.We did have some issues. Our guests were spread out between the house and the cabin. The cabin is about a quarter-mile walk from the house, which we couldn't tell from the listing. The guests in the cabin were really shut out from the group gatherings in many ways, especially in the evening when it was pitch dark outside as there wasn't much outdoor light. The cabin also had a mouse problem, and we saw mice and several traps, including one that appeared to have some "leftovers" in it. Our guests found mouse droppings in and around the beds upstairs. I brought this up to the management company and was reminded that the property, especially the cabin, was indeed noted as "rustic." Our plan for the birthday was to make a formal dinner for our guests and we found the kitchen to be missing some key supplies that one would expect at a property like this, such as Tupperware, complete measuring cup set, grater, a full set of coffee mugs, etc. If you're just doing takeout or pizza, probably not an issue. Just be aware and plan to bring supplies if you're doing something more elaborate or ask in advance. We often found out something wasn't there right when we needed it. We also could have used some more on-site information, such as how to turn on certain features like the porch heaters and the location of things, including where to access trails and hike (especially when the neighbor's signs make it clear they will shoot you if you step on
