The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, Maryland, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, game and exercise rooms and much more. During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store and gift shops.
This is an oceanfront condo! When you walk in, you see water in front of you! 3 bedrooms/3 baths retreat with unbelievable ocean and bay views from two private balconies. The condo has recently been renovated. The condo features, HDTV/DVD/VCR, cable Comcast flat screen in every room. Free Wi-Fi internet access for all guests.
The Golden Sands building charges a $40 non-refundable registration fee. There is assigned parking space for one car which is free, it comes with the condo. Additional parking is available at the Office/Security desk for $15 a day or parking very close by $10 per day, $40 per week . This is a non-smoking condo and pets are not allowed.
Amenities: Indoor & Outdoor Pools, tennis court, Volleyball court, Game room, Exercise Room, Summer Bar and Grill.
Tiki bar: where you can get a sandwich, cold drinks, and beautiful beachfront views.

Was a good location and nice to have the tiki bar outside. Building is starting to be run down a bit. Our condo was a good fit for our family . Cleanliness was ok but not great. 2 of the bathrooms need updated as they are rundown a bit . Bring extra bath towels if you don’t want to do laundry for clean towels. Kitchen very well stocked

We stayed at Ocean Sands to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It was very enjoyable. The condo was excellent. We especially enjoyed the restaurants in the area.

Definitely coming back

Great location. Loved being able to ride elevator down and be steps away from the beach. Short car ride to boardwalk, amusement parks, mini golf and great dinning.

Check in: the check in lady didn’t seem to know much about the area when we got there early and were looking for a restaurant. Over all, the layout and bed configuration in the apartment was very good. Great view. The experience with the elevators was terrible: unless early morning or evening, always had a long wait and they were always packed and hot. The apartment itself is quite rundown. Much needs fixing and updating.

Wonderful view and ameneties

We absolutely loved our stay. It is very difficult to find a place for 7 adult size people. The view is amazing, and the host provided almost everything you need. I loved not having to bring sheets and towels. There is a TV in each bedroom so the teenagers were happy. The board games were so much fun, I have not played Clue in ages! My only complaint has nothing to do with the room or host. There is an ice cream place on the deck by the pool. The hours advertised are from 3 to 9, but I went there a few different days between 8 and 9 and they were already closed. I could never seem to make it there before 8 so I still do not know what time they actually closed. I hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for such a wonderful vacation!

Needs cleaned better

For the amount of money I pay for a cleaning fee it should be cleaned.. there was sand everywhere even in the sheets, so not sure the sheets were washed prior to arrive.. There were dishes in the dishwasher still and left over coffee in the coffee maker. The views from the condo were very nice and in a good location.

Friends and Family Vacation

This property had a great location on Coastal Highway Oceanside - Just steps away and your feet were in the sand. I'm a little afraid of heights so the 18th floor made me a little nervous especially being out on the balcony however the view was spectacular! Taking the floor up 18 floors on a busy day was a little frustrating at times yet on slower days not bad at all. The unit was very spacious. The upgraded kitchen was actually larger than seen in the pictures so that was a def plus. We did have the shower head break late one night and the owner Michelle fixed it first thing the next morning! That was pretty amazing! She was fast to communicate with and friendly! Would definitely recommend furture vacationers to stay here!

Awesome overall!

Only real complaints I have is the fact that checkout was 10am and not 11am like posted, and the registration fee you pay when you first check in is $75 & not $40, lol. Otherwise, it was awesome and such a beautiful place!!!! 9.5/10!!! Only other thing I could say is that the kitchen could be a little more stocked, but wasn't anything major that effected us 🙂 Would definitely stay again! This was also the first time we have ever done anything like this and we were very pleased, especially after driving over 8 hours to get there! Last thing I can think of is that the room with the two twin beds, actually has one twin bed and a twin bed over a a full bed bunk. Which worked out way better for us! The king room shares a balcony with the living area looking out at the beach, and the two other bedrooms share a balcony that looks out to the front of the property.

Wonderful Place to Vacation

The condo is beautiful with awesome views.... both ocean and bayside. Having two separate balconies lets people enjoy sunrises and sunsets. Loved that each room had its own bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Condo!!

My family and I loved this condo! It was very well stocked with everything we needed. The pictures don't show how spacious it is. The owner was very nice and responded quickly to anything I asked. The views were incredible. We ate at the tiki bar downstairs several times and got sandwiches from the deli. It was nice to have so many amenities right in the building and steps from the beach. Great vacation!!

Nice place to call home, at the beach.

(June/2022) Very nice updated kitchen. Spacious modern side-by-side fridge with water and icemaker at the door. Kitchen is wide and open and accommodates 2 or 3 people at the same time. Plenty of storage and granite countertop. Has counter/bar height seating for 6 or 7, plus a 4 person dining room table. Hard floors throughout (no carpeting). Master bedroom and master bath, comfortable/clean with walk-in shower and access to beachfront balcony. Second and third bedrooms are also nice with queen bed (with bayside balcony access) and two twin beds. Enjoy you morning coffee on the oceanfront balcony, at sunrise on the 18th floor (and yes, you can hear the ocean from there) or from the beach, followed by evening cocktails watching the bayside sunset. Unit overall is simple, comfortable and provides the necessities for a week at the beach. Michelle was an excellent and responsive host and we would love to be her guests again. L.A., Limerick, PA

Nice views. Needs some cleaning.

Condo was in a good building with access to the beach. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and nightly entertainment on the deck. The unit had some nice updates and views of both the bay and the ocean. The unit did need a bit more cleaning. There was hair in the tub and in spots on the floor. There was dust on many surfaces and grease residue on the cabinets above the stove. There were also dirt marks on baseboards and around door handles on doors and walls.

We had a great stay at the condo. There was plenty of room and all of the amenities we needed were available. I have stayed at several condos through the years and Michele’s was my absolute favorite. I can’t wait to stay here again. Thank you Michele for such a wonderful vacation! See you soon!

Great getaway

All in all we enjoyed this place. Building had great amenities which we took advantage of as much as possible. However, elevators are a nightmare since there are too many people and not enough elevators. Sometimes waited 45 minutes Condo was spacious but desperately needs someplace to hang wet or damp towels. No hooks in bathrooms. It was a wonderful vacation….
