This traditional Japanese house features both tatami rooms and wood-floored rooms, so guests can choose the space they feel most comfortable in.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with friendly locals, the house is just steps away from everything you need — within 300 meters you’ll find restaurants, local bars, a supermarket, McDonald’s, and two riversides, perfect for walking, jogging, or fishing. It’s also ideal for longer stays.

The house has easy train access to popular Tokyo destinations like Ueno, Asakusa, and Yanaka Ginza, with two train stations just a 2-minute walk away.

Inside, there are 5 Wi-Fi networks, ensuring a stable connection. There are 3 bathrooms, one on each floor from the ground floor to the third.

Ground floor: Includes a sauna, full-size bath, office space, and parking for 2 cars.

Second floor: Features the dining room, kitchen, and a private traditional tatami room.

Third floor: Has one tatami room and two wood-floored bedrooms.

Fourth floor: Equipped with a treadmill, yoga mats, table tennis, and an automatic mahjong table — great for relaxation and fun.

Your host speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese, and we’re happy to accommodate any special requests to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Incredibly helpful and accommodating, all of our questions and concerns were answered promptly and she went above and beyond in regards to assuring that our stay was as good as it can be. I would definitely book here again!

As described, some communication issue

Everything is as described in the listing, although we had some communication issues at the beginning. Guests who stayed there before us have not checked out when we arrived, got very confused since the owner cannot be contacted via different channels, had to involve Vrbo support. Was told to use the bedroom on 3rd floor, which is nothing like the pictures in the listing. Got in touch with owner later on and everything got straightened out.

Great place to stay. Wonderful hostess!

The hostess, Su, was incredibly nice! She picked us up from the train station when we arrived and showed us around the immediate area. The location is so convenient! You are a 2 minute walk from the train, convenient stores, a supermarket and at least 2 restaurants! The house itself was very clean and tidy. We had the 2 rooms on the second floor that are exactly as pictured. We had a private toilet and sink just outside our rooms. The kitchen and dining area was shared for the house and it was also on the second floor. The first floor had a shared toilet and the shower/bath room. There was a signup board for times you planned on using the bath. There was another space for rent on the third floor that had their own private toilet. Another family was upstairs during our stay but we did have plenty of private areas of our own. I cannot say enough about how great the hostess was. If we needed something or had a question, she went out and had a solution or answer right away. She helped us with general questions like IC cards and what stores we could find specific items we were looking for. She kept the place very clean and was always offering to help with anything we needed. We stayed here in Tokyo first and then had moved to a hotel in Kyoto. The first words out of my daughters mouth when we arrived at the hotel in Kyoto were “I miss Su”.

I also studied in the United States, Useda and New York English Academy, Obtained Psychological Counselor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Anger Management Counselor Certification in the United States, and partner of Mark Malkek Brooklyn, New York Consulate LLC ,partner of Tokyo Beyond Reality Company. I Established Wako Co., Ltd.in 2015,~ today.

[I'm really lucky to have chosen this Airbnb in Shinagawa Ward for this trip to Tokyo! I have to share my experience with you.
In terms of transportation convenience, this accommodation is perfect. The nearest train station is just a 3-minute walk away, making getting around Tokyo very easy. Whether you're shopping in bustling Shinjuku or visiting the historic Sensoji Temple, you'll just be within a short ride of convenient trains. When you go out every morning, you don't have to rush to run. You can take a leisurely walk to the train station and start your wonderful day of travel.
The hosts are really warm and attentive. Once the booking was made, the host contacted me, asked for the arrival time carefully, provided a detailed route guide from the airport to the listing, and both the diagrams and the text were easy to understand, which was easy to understand even for me who was new to Tokyo. On the day of check-in, the host picked me up at the train station, carried my luggage, and introduced me to the surrounding living facilities such as supermarkets and restaurants, so I was able to get used to this unfamiliar environment quickly. If there were any problems during our stay, the host would reply and solve them immediately, making us feel at home.
The layout of the room is also very cozy, clean and well-equipped. The details are meticulous, and you can feel the host's thoughtfulness.
This Airbnb stay in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo was wonderful. The convenient transportation and the warm hospitality of the host added a lot of wonderful memories to my trip. Next time I come to Tokyo, I will definitely choose this place!
