B2 is a musty-smelling condo. As soon as we entered, the odor was noticeable and permeated every piece of furniture inside. I did not notify the property manager because this problem can only be resolved by using a dehumidifier 24/7. The ice maker on the refrigerator also didn't work, but that was not a problem for us. The king bed was very comfortable but every time I woke up, I got a whiff of the musty odor. This odor was present before Hurricane Erin skirted the coastline in front of Riggings.

Our stay here was great! The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. The location is absolutely perfect and right on the water. The space was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Will be back!

Beautiful apartment

The apartment is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and easy parking. The rock formations and tide pools with sea creatures were fascinating but inhibited our love of ocean swimming.

Felt like home

This location was a great location away from the busyness of the restaurants and bars yet close enough to go for walks along the beach. Very picturesque. Scenic walk to Fort Fisher and the state park beach too!

Renters Beware!

My husband and I have stayed at several very nice rentals in this area and this particular one is below the standards that anyone should have to accept. First, there is extreme beach erosion. There are very large sandbags in use and have been in use since 1985. The owner is stating that these sandbags were placed for the tropical storm but they were not. Google “The Riggins Sandbags” and you will see that this complex has had extreme erosion since it was built. If you plan on using the beach, you will only be able to use it for 2 hours a day at low tide. The rest of the time there is no beach as the waves rush up to the sand bags. Second, the unit needs a deep cleaning. Upon entering, there is a stong musty/mold smell. There are 2 dehumidifiers in the unit. The furniture covers have dirty spots/stains, there are water stains on the floor near the kitchen and soft spots in the floor. The dishwasher/stove have rust on them. Lastly, there are bugs in the unit. Both cockroaches and water bugs. We left the unit after seeing several bugs in the unit. I attempted to work towards a solution with the owner but she stated she would not discuss reimbursement. I am currently working with VRBO towards a solution. I read all of the reviews and there was one bad review for this unit. I thought it was a disgruntled renter, now I know her review was accurate. In this listing, there are not any sandbags in any photos despite the owner stating there is. Rent elsewhere!

Rebirth

Needed some rest. The room was nice with a beautiful view. Good local food ( Freddys was my favorite) Pier Fishing was fun and relaxing something I haven’t had a moment to do . 5 stat all around .

The condo was wonderful! Our upstairs neighbors ended up being really loud most of the stay, sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. The view and location was simply amazing! Usually after a week stay at the beach I’m ready to go home, this time, I wasn’t. I appreciated how clean the place was.

Vacation State of Mind

Beautiful property. It was really quiet and peaceful except for the stomping upstairs. When we realized it was a toddler running back and forth, compassion overcame aggravation. I was disappointed in the kitchen - we cook on vacation and the knives were hazardous - literally came away from the base while using. Wish there had been some large bowls for stirring things in. Otherwise great location and lovely place.

Great location and beautifully decorated!

We love this end of the island! It is quieter, yet restaurants and attractions are close by. We enjoyed walking down to Ft. Fisher every night. The unit is beautifully decorated, and you could not get closer to the beach!

Great place with everything within reach!

We visited with a family of 6: two parents and four kids (9, 7, 4, and 1). The fact that we could be at the condo (with a GREAT VIEW), at the pool, or at the beach in 2 minutes was amazing. The tide pools, the aquarium nearby, and fort fisher are cool amenities for families. Having Kure Beach and Carolina Beach restaurants and shops nearby is a plus. Pro tip: ride the ferry from Southport for a cool experience on your arrival. We loved this vacation!

Anniversary Trip

We couldn't stay any closer to the beach!! We felt as if we were in on a cruise ship during high tide....loved it!! The home is in walking distance to Fort Fisher, the beach is quiet and beautiful. The home was very comfortable and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Great view

We have been visiting this area for the past 8 years, typically staying in CB. We decided to stay in Kure this time and we were not disappointed. The view at this property is amazing! My family loved it. We will definitely be back.

Birthday Get away

Teresa was very easy to communicate with during the entire stay. She was very helpful and the property was great and so close to the beach. I felt like I was on the beach when I walked on the balcony. Time on the beach was amazing as well.
