This place has the WOW factor when you look out the balcony doors! You are right on the ocean. That did take us by surprise. High tide had the ocean crashing against the sandbags below. The house was very clean and decorated beachy. The bed was comfortable. The location was great! Cute breakfast restaurant next to the pier.

We had a wonderful stay. Location of condo in proximity of Wilmington and Southport is perfect. Spent 2 days golfing at a couple of very nice courses. Restaurants in the area were very good!

Great location

Great location. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Had an unusual musky smell and high humidity indoors. It was like the ac couldn’t cool the area off enough.

We loved the private access to the beach and how quiet it was. The walking distance to fort fisher was a bonus. The stay was comfortable. Had issues with the shower head leaking but it was manageable. I would stay again, but I will be sure to bring my own toiletries next time.

Awesome View

Just what we needed! Beach front place with an unobstructed, amazing view from 3rd floor. Balcony was uncovered and sunny for sunbathing (instead of getting all sandy from the beach) or for enjoying morning coffee. Beds comfy and teens enjoyed just crashing on the couch instead. No elevator, but we were ok with climbing stairs. Great communication when we looked to add a night to our stay.

The property was very clean, check-in and parking super easy. I was however counting on the couch being a pull-out which it states in the description, but it was a different couch than shown in pictures and it was not a pull out. The check-out process was a little over the top seeing that the cleaning fee is 152. BUT it was quiet and close to the aquarium with a nice view of the water.

Smooth and as advertised

The condo was in excellent condition and oceanfront. This unit in the Riggings is on the 3rd floor, so know that luggage hauling will be necessary. The Queen bed was soft and comfortable. All needed kitchen appliances were available. The only thing we needed that I didn't have was cooking spray. The living room couch has a pull out trundle for an additional small child's bed. We'd definitely stay again.

Not long enough

The only objection, not able to stay longer. The view was amazing, got some really nice sunrise pictures. Being this was our 2nd vacation to the area, we knew what to expect as to the surroundings. For us, this was well secluded away from the heavy traffic areas, yet in distant to our main interests. Very surprised and appreciative to sound barrier between neighbors. Never once heard our neighbors and they said the same. The amenities were well accounted for, no issues as to anything not mentioned or as stated. Beds were a bit softer than ours, but not uncomfortable and did not cause us unrest. AC, hot water, shower were very well adequate. Be sure that you are okay with 3 flights of stairs and 1 bathroom, having 2 teenage boys, that at times could be challenging, but we managed, as stated, the view out the balcony was well worth it. Only thing that would have made it better, a storage unit on ground floor to store your beach items, but again, if you are okay of getting around this, very good fine. Would so much approve of staying here again.

Lovely Condo

While the temperature took a plunge the week we were there, the condo couldnt have been nicer. It is a third floor condo overlooking the beach and ocean. The Riggings is one of our favorite places to stay and we certainly were not disappointed. The owner was quick to respond to our questions. The bed was very comfortable and the living space was very accommodating.

Perfect for a short getaway

We love the location of this VRBO and have stayed just down the street at Ocean Dunes before. This unit was fine for our 3 night stay. I would not stay for a week however. The bed in the master had a pillow top that was caving in in the middle and made for a not so comfortable sleeping experience. There was also a strange stain on the top sheet. The TV in the bedroom did not connect to anything. It would turn on, but that was it. You should leave instructions for that. There were no hand towels provided, only additional full bath towels which is fine, but difficult to manage around one small sink. We loved being able to look at the ocean and hear the waves and we spent most of our time outside the unit so the inconveniences were not that big of a deal, but again I would not stay here for a full week unless some updates were made.

Perfect Quiet Beach Experience

You simply cannot get any closer to the ocean without being on a boat! The condo was exactly as expected, true to listing. This place was just what my boyfriend and I had hoped for: quiet, easy private beach access, We were minutes away from the restaurants we wanted to eat at, and so close to the beach that we never needed to set up an umbrella. Absolutely plan on coming back to this amazing spot!

Ocean view right on the beach. Private beach no crowds.
