Wockys Place is located at Orchid Beach - a secluded residential and holiday destination located on the North East coast of Fraser Island, only accessible by 4wd.

Wockys place is situated 100m from the beach front & 10 minute drive to the ever popular Waddy Point & surrounded by pristine day tripping locations.

We have a huge grassed backyard for your little ones to run around. Please note: the yard is not fully fenced & children must be always supervised due to roaming dingoes in the area.

There is ample parking for multiple 4wds and boats at the front of the property. We do not allow parking or driving on the grassed areas of our property. This is to keep the grass green and healthy & keep kids safe. Please Park at the front at all times. Please refuel on the sand. Please do not refuel on the grass.

Water is supplied from our tanks and is natural rain water or water pumped from the bore. It is safe for drinking and is filtered, however may upset some people’s digestion. It is recommended to bring your own drinking water or boil in the kettle provided.

IMPORTANT
For those guests who are new to Orchid Beach, you must bring your own essential items such as toot paper, washing liquids etc. there is a small shop, a short walk or drive away for essentials, however you will pay “Island Prices”. For this reason, fueling up at Rainbow Beach/Hervey Bay before your departure to the island is a good idea, along with a jerry can or two full.

Guests must bring all their own linen, including sheets, towels, and PILLOWS. There are some blankets provided.

Wockys place is a two level home with all living areas, kitchen, bathrooms & bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs you will find storage, not accessible to guests & the laundry as well an an undercover BBQ area and fish cleaning bench.

Please note there is a second dwelling on our property that is regularly utilized by us, or our family/friends. We do not interact with guests in our house nor do we share your driveway or parking area. You will be notified in advance if someone will be arriving, however please know we aren’t there to encroach on your stay. We are more likely to be staying in the cottage during school holidays or for maintenance. Thank you
