Can’t wait to go back

The property felt like a private retreat in the middle of the city. Lots of space, and beautiful patios for enjoying the outside. Host super-friendly and responsive. Will definitely return!

Beautiful gardens, outdoor spaces for relaxing with coffee in the morning, or a drink after a day of walking around Paris. Spacious. Host is super friendly and very kind. Can’t wait to return!

quiet and peaceful

A bit out of town, but easily accessible by metro. Amazingly quiet, and a peaceful change from downtown Paris. Spacious, with rooms that had doors you could close and an actual kitchen. The host was lovely.

A "homey" stay!

We arrived much later than expected, but we're welcomed pleasantly by the owner who is a delightful man! The place itself is quite a charming spot with two private, quiet terraces to enjoy the fresh air. The location wasn't far from an Underground Station and several markets . The neighborhood was quite lovely as well with many young families. We felt safe, secure and private. A sweet place to relax aftrrvthe day's adventures.

Surprisingly quiet and peaceful

While Montreuil is not as tony as some Paris neighborhoods, we found it a welcome change from the frantic city center. It was easily accesible by the Metro. Dr. Stephan's place was incredibly quiet and private. Having actual rooms with doors that closed was a real treat-a spacious contrast to a one room studio. Additionally, our host was the nicest person in the world- quite warm and welcoming.

Cosy and comfortable maisonette with a wonderful host.

I spent over two weeks in this maisonette in Montreuil and the longer I stayed the more I liked it. Being an older building it has its quirks, but also tons of character. Montreuil is a large suburb which lies to the east of central Paris and is served by a metro line. The maisonette is very close to the boundary with Paris and an easy walk to the metro. It is thus easy to explore Paris without the expense of staying in the centre. The maisonette has everything you need for day to day living and is close to shops, cafes, restaurants and a vibrant local community. The host Stéphane, was wonderful. He came to our rescue when our luggage, which was delayed into Paris, was placed into the hands of an incredibly incompetent courier company who, for 1 1/2 days couldn't tell us where our luggage was nor when it would be delivered. Hearing of this, Stéphane jumped on the phone, quickly working his way up to the company's director and demanding action. Our luggage was delivered a few hours later. Stéphane couldn't have been a more helpful or hospitable host, and my wife and I would happily stay with him again.

Homely Stay

Stephane was a fantastic host! Welcomed us with open arms and a broad smile. Terrific place to stay with a space out the back and front for open air enjoyment. While a few stops outside Paris Central, our stay in Montreuil gave us a realistic appreciation of modern day Paris. We thorough;ly enjoyed our stay and Stephane was wonderful.
