The property was fantastic and Mau set up a private chef and bartender for our stay. It was a wonderful location and had everything we needed. Our housekeeper was also fantastic. Mau took care of all our requests. I highly recommend!

This is truly the most wonderful VRBO we have stayed at anywhere in the world! It was a fantastic house, in an amazing location, with wonderful concierge service (Mauricio) and housekeeper, as well as grounds keeper/ maintenance person. Truly an amazing and beach access! I could not think of any way to improve our stay! The personal chef was amazing and a really good value!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manuel Antonio. The proximity to the national park and restaurants were a highlight. The beach is accessed down a steep hill and through what seems to be an abandoned hotel property. We enjoyed the daily visitors - the birds, the monkeys, a sloth, a kinkajou - the wildlife is definitely a highlight. The pool was lovely and refreshing. There's lots of space in the house so you can all be together and still have room to spread out. Each night we walked to area restaurants for dinner. We would definitely stay again!

The location is fabulous. The home is well appointed and the staff is able to help w everything. We will be back. Be ready to walk some hills to the beach and to town if you do not have a car.

The house layout, ocean view, beach access, pool and overall location were wonderful. It's a short walk to the beach and a few restaurants but still feels very private with all the vegetation. Like everywhere in Manuel Antonio, it's on a steep hill so you'll get a work out. Kitchen was more than well-appointed with nice appliances and gas grill. The tap water was chlorinated and safe to drink. Lots of wildlife nearby and the afternoon monkey show was a treat! Staff were friendly and welcoming. House and grounds were kept spotless. Wouldn't change a thing! Pura Vida!

Wow! Our family was SO happy with this house! For serious wildlife and nature fanatics this place was a dream. For those who also want comfort, luxury, and pampering this place was also a dream. We took our 3 college kids plus boyfriends/girlfriends on our first Costa Rica trip and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! Everyone had privacy, gorgeous views and their own bathrooms. The monkeys came by every afternoon! Mauricio was very responsive and so helpful booking private tours for us and answering questions. Heylin was so sweet and kind, and kept the house so nice for our big group every day. I’d give this house 10 stars

During our stay there were 3 sloths in the trees next to the house at one time! THREE!!

Wonderful experience!

Great stay

Casa Alegria is a very nice place to stay. Great location great views great wildlife. I found it a bit strange that the housekeeper was there for about five hours per day cleaning. She did an amazing job, but it was a bit overkill. Mauricio was a fantastic host and did a great job of communicating.

Perfect Location

We so many animals. Comfortable home for my adult family and the Property Manager helped us set us some great activities. I highly recommend asking him about the private chef too.

Wonderful experience

It was an absolutely outstanding stay! Wonderful home and pool and proximity to the beach. A tremendous amount of help everyday with the check in process and daily cleaning and laundry services. It was a truly wonderful stay!

Amazing View!

The view was breathtaking. We also saw more wildlife than in the national parks. Daily maid service was great. The only negative was the walk to the beach, which was quite difficult. We were also told by lifeguards not to swim near the beach entrance due to rip currents, rocks, & a croc.

Family vacation

We spent 4 nights here with a group of 7 ages 17-75 and loved it. Property and views were beautiful; staff was great. Saw tons of wildlife just hanging around the house. Several restaurants within easy walking distance. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Incredible views from every floor and room

Casa Alegria is an wonderful house in a great location. The house has everything you need. Every room and each floor has incredible views. And the staff is fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again.

We loved everything about this place! The location was beautiful and every bedroom has an ocean view. The maid came in everyday and even washed our clothes! Mauricio was available 24/7 to answer questions, book tours or to summon a taxi. I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Great location

This house was nicely equipped, had easy beach access, close to town, and close to restaurants. The only negative was construction going on below the house. It was a lot of fun watching all of the animals that came to visit.

The Owner is a retired Northern European, who came to Costa Rica seeking a new way of life, looking for that Pura Vida life style
The sounds of the surf, heard from the balconies of the house, was more than enough
inspiration, so he decided to make Casa Alegria his second home away from.
