Rushing Bear is a beautiful cabin nestled next to a rushing creek. Relax on the large deck to the sounds of the water, so tranquil ! Enjoy the creekside firepit. Situated on two lots so you have plenty of room for outdoor activities and enjoy the mountain scenery.

Great location in the heart of Maggie Valley. The vaulted ceilings and custom finishes in this fully furnished cabin are impeccable. Super comfortable 2 bedroom & 2 bath cabin with hickory hardwood floors, a fireplace and an amazing creekside location. Master bedroom downstairs has King size bed, upstairs bedroom is Queen size.

Located in beautiful Dogwood Trails, a small mountain neighborhood with gated entryway, a rushing stream and pavilion with firepit for your use.

Only a 5 minute drive down the mountain on all paved roads to central Maggie Valley for area shopping and dining. Just a 10 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 30 minute drive to the entry of Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Rushing Bear is in a beautiful mountain creekside location, awesome cabin experience with all the comforts of home. This will become your home away from home for great vacations again and again.

Fast 200MB WIFI, YouTube TV featuring HBO. Central heat and AC, fully stocked kitchen, wrap- around porch to enjoy the mountain scenery and cool mountain breezes. The cabin is clean and beautiful, very comfortable, and you will love the setting and location.

Rushing Bear is a pet friendly cabin. Please inform owner of the kind of pet, the breed and the size/weight. Pet fee of $100 per stay, is "per pet." If you have more than one pet, a request for payment for the second or third pet will be sent after you book. Please declare the number of pets you are brining when booking.

Cabin was great. Location was good. Dogs bark constantly from across the street. There is no peace & quite. Even when you are in the Cabin, the barking will wake you up.

Great dog-friendly creekside cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rushing Bear. The gated porch and side yard were perfect for our dog to be with us. The cabin is very clean and accommodating. The owner is very responsive to all communication. We were pleasantly surprised to find an actual bedroom upstairs since there isn't one pictured. We thought our teen son would need to sleep in the bed in the loft that was pictured, but he ended up having more privacy than expected. One thing to note is that it isn't as secluded as it appears in the pics. There are several cabins nearby. It's a nice neighborhood though and we had elks visit us one evening!

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

Lovely log cabin in the Smokies. Clean, Comfortable, very nicely designed interior. Only issue was the barking dogs up the hill. Felt bad for the dogs as well as the local home owners. We did Love the cabin & location.

Beautiful cabin

Beautiful cabin in a nice location. Nice creek right next to the cabin. Very clean. The only negative is a kennel nearby and dogs barking a good part of the stay.

Great Vacation

The Cabin was Clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a Great Mini Vacation. Great Location just 3 Minutes from Maggie Valley as well as in a quiet private neighborhood with several other Cabins. We were able to take out 11 year old Golden Retreiver which is part of the family. Thanks again to Jane for a wonderful stay. CB

Beautiful cabin

This cabin is exactly as advertised, extremely clean, nicely furnished not overly decorated, so there was room for us to relax without bumping into art. The kitchen was nicely appointed, everything we needed. The owner was terrific. Full size washer & dryer was a plus, the bedrooms are roomy and beds comfortable

Cabin heaven

The Cabin was exactly as advertised. The Creek sounds added to the ambiance and gave us a place to explore. My wife fell in love with the area and the cabin in particular. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to look for our own little piece of heaven.

Fabulous place!

We can’t wait to come back. It couldn’t have been a better place for our vacation. The owners were quick to answer any questions but we had very few. They really thought out everything in advance. Wonderful place and just what we wanted!

Excellent stay!!!!!

The Cabin is well located with easy access to eateries and necessities. The Property Manager is EXTREMELY helpful and PROFESSIONAL! My partner as well as I are germaphobes, and it was pleasant to see the place was in top cleanliness condition. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking for a nice quiet stay in the mountains and its not too far from a few hiking trails with beautiful views!!

The calming sound of the creek was awesome, the grass and yard by the firepit needs a little tending so you could see the creekVery peaceful except for the hunting dogs barking every night in a few directions. You could not hear them if you were in the house. Beds were super comfortable. Brought k cups, no keriug. Great time.

VRBO.

The house was excellent, but would like to recommend a few things. Have instructions on how to operate the gas fireplace. Have housekeeping handle the trash and not the renter. First time using VRBO and never had to delivery your trash to a remote site. Access to house was great, close to numerous businesses and very quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend if visiting Maggy Valley NC.

Wonderful Cabin

Everything was nice and clean, cabin was very easy to find and in a great location everything from eating and shopping was just minutes away. The only thing I have to complain about would be the outside firepit area could use some cleaning up and reworking. The wood is rotting on the ground, the stone steps have lots of algae growing which makes them slickand makes it dangerous to walk around not to mention hard to get 3 chairs around the firepit. Needs more lighting around the outside firepit very dark at night but aside from that we enjoyed the fires and the outdoor time.

Beautiful property in Western Carolina

My wife and I recently returned from a great 4 night stay at Rushing Bears cabin. The pictures and summaries provided by VRBO were accurate in describing this picturesque and comfortable property. Our dog enjoyed our walks near the cabin and hikes along the nearby ( only 5 minutes away) Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was well equipped, comfortably furnished, and exceptionally clean. We had a minor issue upon arrival when we couldn’t locate the gate access code ( had to call VRBO ) to enter the gated community. This was resolved within a few minutes ( but we aren’t clear as to why this info wasn’t included with door code on VRBO welcome instructions?)And we would have liked some printed info about tv operation...we were unable to use live tv while we were there. No problem, as sitting on the front deck with the soothing, pleasant stream beside the cabin was a great alternative. In summary, we had a great stay in this beautiful cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Maggie Valley area. We highly recommend Rushing Bears cabin.

Everything was wonderful. The unit was as described. Very clean. Instructions on arrival very concise. Beautiful place with a rushing stream down below. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sadly we were there for 3 of the rainiest days in October, but still enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely rent again.

We have stayed here several time, this time the cabin could use a deep clean. Upon arrival we found someone else’s clothes still in the drawers, the bed did not seem to have clean sheets on it since it was disheveled under the comforter. the dog barking across the street is maddening, non stop barking. My husband checked all the windows and all were unlocked on the first floor and very hard to lock them.

The cabin was wonderful - our stay in Maggie Valley was awesome. Just a hint of the leaves changing and a little bit of cooler weather. Jane (the host) was very attentive to any questions etc. We will definetly stay here again.
