Easy access and parking. Gateway to the Palisade Plunge, Grand Mesa Nordic Skiing, Powderhorn Resort, fishing and hunting. We are close to Palisade Wineries , distilleries and brewery.

Relaxing get away

This is an amazing beautiful property! We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck. Perfect location to go up on top of the mesa to picnic or hike. Worked perfectly for the dogs too!

This is a fantastic property, unique in its style and amazing how it was built. It has a lot of character as well as roomy, even a large group would not feel crowded.

Beautiful cabin. The owners have the story of its construction available to read and it's pretty amazing! You can tell a lot of love went into it. Great place to stay!

Cabin is a lot larger than we thought it was. This was a great place to relax and access Powderhorn.

The house overall was ok. We did have a problem with mice that made one of the bedrooms undesirable. When we reported the problem, the owner came out promptly and set out mousetraps. The kitchen was well equipped.There was no internet, no bad weather to cause a problem.

Great house and location

We stayed here for our Christmas holiday. The house has a great layout and was perfect for our family. It was stocked with everything you could need. The location is only a few minutes from Powderhorn Ski Resort. It snowed about 14” while we were there and my kiddos loved playing in all that snow on the property and skiing on the fresh powder. We will definitely stay here again.

Cozy with built-in Entertainment

We love Bird TV. Predators have eyes in front; prey has eyes on the side. The cabin itself is beautiful. The location is convenient to everything. Winter visitors will especially appreciate that the floors are heated.

Beautiful home was so comfortable and bright. 4 large bedrooms. Very functional with space for stuff before walking into wood floors. But I loved the birds and the view from kitchen table window. Skiing at Powderhorn so close. Would rent this home again.

Beautiful Setting!

The scenery and setting of this cabin are gorgeous! It is well kept and clean. The owners have made this cabin feel like home away from home, stocked with everything needed. It has artistic touches everywhere! We loved that! Donna was such a great support when I called her! Quick, and easy! We would come back again! Serene, majestic home away from home!

Great Place to Relax or Use as a Base Camp for Mountain Adventures

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We didn't know what to expect as there were no reviews and only a few pictures. There were some really thoughtful features such as a heated mud room area that you could use to take off your snow boots and such in the winter or enjoy bug protection in the summer. You will enjoy exploring all of the interesting decor and features of this cabin. The owner responded to our questions ahead of arrival with detailed explanations and a willingness to work with some of our special circumstances. They are continuing to improve their facility and make it even better. This place receives our stamp of approval.

Perfect getaway, close to Grand Mesa Recreation area

The location of this comfortable and spacious home is perfect for those looking for easy access to the hiking trails and lakes at Grand Mesa Recreation Area. Our family enjoyed the beautiful views and cozy, log cabin setting nestled in the trees. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful. A couple of things to mention: we had a party of 6 (3 adults/3 kids) and the space was more than adequate. There is a thousand-gallon cistern that provides the water for the home - showers, dishes, laundry, etc - and while we were concerned about running low on water, this wasn’t an issue. If you have a larger party, you may want to keep this in mind. And the mosquitoes!! Bring repellant! Lots of it! This part of Colorado is gorgeous and the Chickadee Ranch is a perfect place to stay while you explore the area!

Great place!!! however the internet was rarely working so watching any tv was not an option since the home does not have cable or satellite service. If you want a convenient place to crash and ski this is a great spot.
