Modern Cozy Home at Powderhorn Mountain Resort with AMENITIES

With mountain views of the horizon and the Grand Valley below, this completely updated 3 bed, 3.5 bath home is located at the base of Powderhorn Ski Resort. Powderhorn provides some of the softest powder in the winter and downhill biking and chair lift rides in the summer. Just up the road, Grand Mesa National Forest holds world class trout fishing, the Palisade Plunge mountain bike trail, scenic hiking trails, several restaurants, and an immense amount of wildlife, including moose, mule deer, elk, black bear, and marmot. Wildlife is often spotted right outside the home from 1 of the 3 back porches! Come relax and unwind inside with wireless internet, air conditioning, soaker bathtubs, a fully equipped kitchen, and a fireplace or step right outside for an adventure through all of what the Grand Mesa has to offer!

Kids are more than welcome - toys, games, books, Disney+, pack ‘n play crib, and a kids table provided.

Dogs welcome upon prior approval: Must be a completely potty trained, non-destructive, non-shedding (or appear to be non-shedding after you clean up their furnado prior to your check out), good boy/girl. We will even leave out a treat! We ask that pups do not get on any furniture and are not left unattended in the home unless crated.
**Additional charges will be billed if extra cleaning services have to be hired out for carpet cleaning, furniture cleaning, etc. from violation of any above pet policies.

Sleds provided for use during your stay in winter months. There is a sledding hill on the property just outside the front door!

Fishing poles and tackle box provided for use during your stay.

Modern amenities including Starlink WIFI, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Cable TV, Heating, Air Conditioning, Gas Fireplace, Lovesac Sactional, Ping Pong Table, Outdoor Grill, Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Keurig, Washer, & Dryer!

We live 30 minutes away in Palisade. We are always available by phone. We prefer to give you complete privacy, but are not too far away if needed in person!

Guests will have access to the entire house other than the following 3 locked spaces where we keep our belongings for our trips to Powderhorn:

-pantry
-1 of 2 closets in the master bedroom

Please do not block access for Unit A of the duplex to access their home if needed.

Groceries: Bloom Market is located in Mesa.
The next closest grocery store is Family Food Town in Palisade (~30 minute drive).

Located ~40 minutes from Grand Junction Airport.

We were up for a weekend wedding at Powderhorn Resort. We were 1/2 mile from the resort which was super helpful. Views were beautiful from the balcony. We saw some wildlife including a bear! The host is so attentive, polite, and quick to reply. The townhome was comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed including a pack and play and toys for my 9 month old, which was awesome. We have no complaints, this place fit our needs perfectly. Thank you for a lovely stay! Julie

Great Property! Great owners!

It was a perfect property for our vacation to Grand Mesa. The home is filled with all the amenities you need to make it an easy trip to pack for. The location is ideal for those who want modern amenities and quick access to the Mesa to enjoy a day of fishing or exploring. We had a minor issue that was quickly handled by the owner and he even drove up to make sure that we were comfortable. This was very appreciated. We would recommend this place to anyone!!

The owners were so accommodating and friendly! We were there to celebrate my mom's birthday and Mother's Day and they even left her a little gift!It was a beautiful area and the house was lovely and had everything we needed. We would definitely go back!

Perfect Ski Condo

Our family did a quick weekend ski vacation and the townhome is perfect for larger families. You can't beat the location for Powderhorn. The hosts were great on communication. We will be back for sure.

Great place near Powderhorn

We spent the New Year's holiday in this VRBO with family and friends. The space is perfect for 3 couples. Great proximity to the mountain. Space was well decorated and perfect for enjoying the holiday. We will be booking again. The Hosts, Morgan and Jason were quick to respond and easy to communicate with. They made the stay easy and enjoyable.

Powderhorn Getaway

We loved our stay at the house in Powderhorn. Love the layout and amenities that made this place feel like home. Plenty of bathrooms, patios and beautiful views from the windows. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were super comfortable. Such a short drive to get to the hill for skiing. Wishing this place was ours… my only consolation is that we can rent it again! We need to make a stay in the Fall as well as I bet the aspens are a sight!

A few ideas!

Great place to stay close to the ski area. Only thing is that there was no dining room table and dishwasher did not work. Very frustrating to hand wash dishes until we figured out to put a chair against the dishwasher door to keep it locked. Needs fixing or replacing. Refrigerator was not cleaned since the last people. Kitty litter box in lower level was dirty also.

Lovely Stay

Great family getaway

This was a wonderful location for family fun in the snow. We went snowboarding in beautiful champagne powder, ice fishing on the Grand Mesa lakes, cross country skied on perfectly maintained trails and sledded on the mountainside. All of this was so close and no crowds!!! The owners were perfect hosts. Thanks again! We will be back!

Best time in the snowy mountains!

As someone who frequently uses VRBO and visits powderhorn on the regular I have to say this was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Jason and Morgan were exceptional as far as catering to our crazy travel plans. They were easy to get ahold of and always responded within minutes. I give them alone 5☆ plus!!! As far as the home goes it was exactly what we needed to fit a rather large group of ages all over the place. We loved the kids room/ping pong area in the basement!! And the real Christmas trees throughout the townhouse were definitely a bonus!!! It was super close to powderhorn mountain which was great because our group was split, some came and went for lunch and drinks and some stayed the whole day skiing. Location was spot on!!! The only complaint I had was the fridge and freezer space. I understand they use this regularly for their family but coming up with a big group it was hard to fit everything we needed in there when multiple shelves and drawers were full and labeled "for our family please save this for us ". The pantry was locked so not much storage space for food. It was cold and snowy so we were able to use the back patio for some of the things we needed to keep cold but that wasn't ideal for us. Maybe getting a backup fridge in the garage for their food and locking that would be a better idea. Especially when big groups like ours are there. But that's literally the only issue we had at all. We loved the place. We loved our mini vaca in the snowy mountains and would 100% stay here again. Thank you Jason and Morgan for allowing our family to have the best New Years eve in your home! We will be back!!

Fantastic Property with spectacular views

If you are looking for a great place to stay near Powerhorn, this is it. If you aren't from Colorado, you'll start your drive at 4k feet and end at 8k feet. The weather changes drastically and part of the draw for us. From Palisade, you are about 30-35 minutes and about 20 minutes from Mesa. Not much in Mesa except a diner and market place. Palisade, on the other hand, is amazing with great restaurants and wine/cider tasting. You are short (~2-3 minute drive) to the base of Powderhorn and if you are there during the summer, fantastic hiking and biking is right there. You look down into Palisade and have phenomenal views of the mesa's below. The house itself is very nice though a bit spartan. Each bedroom has its own bath and TV. Internet service is good, not great but we expected that with the house's location. Nice kitchen with everything you need to cook meals and the fridge has a good selection of condiments. Just don't plan on sitting at a table and eating dinner. There is a counter area in the kitchen for eating and a sectional couch to lay around on in the main room. Really the reason I said spartan as the common area is pretty basic but in reality, there isn't room to put a table in there. So just beware if you are looking to hang out with a couple of families. The decks outside are small and can only accommodate 2 people sitting down. The only issue I had was a minor one and it seemed like the master shower hadn't been cleaned in awhile. There was hair on the floor and multiple dead flies. Not a big deal at all and the other parts of the house were very clean. Morgan, the host, is fantastic. She responds to messages very quickly and was able to get us a shovel (it snowed a foot on our way up) so we could dig ourselves out. They do plow the roads and driveway which was a huge plus. Overall, we would highly recommend this property for the right vacation. If you want a place close to Powderhorn or a base camp for hiking/biking with fantastic views and plenty of room, this is your place.

Family gathering in grand mesa

My childhood summers were spent hiking fishing and back packing in the beautiful area. We promised my parent that we would gather as a family as a memorial to them. My siblings and their families gathered in beautiful colorado national monument/grand Mesa. The home was perfect for my immediate family and their significant others. Thank you sharing your home.

If you are looking for the perfect mix of nature retreat and luxury accommodations this is the place. It has everything you need to feel like your at a home away from home. It is very close to the outdoor world with amazing local trails and attractions. Local grocery store has delicious food options as well. Would love to experience the location again in the winter as the ski trails are within walking distance too.
