Highly regarded throughout the Midwest for its spectacular natural scenery and premier fishing, the area provides endless opportunities to explore points, bays, islands, bogs, and channels in search of musky, walleye, pike, panfish, largemouth, and smallmouth bass!

Miles of snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, and fat tire biking trails in and around Sawyer County bring fun for the whole family. These include the oh so popular CAMBA trails and the route for the great American Birkebeiner Cross Country Ski Race!

Great Place to Stay

Place was clean and tidy. Good private location, but 10minutes from a general store and a few good places to eat. Boat ran perfectly, and the owners were super easy to deal with. Even helped with fishing advice. Would absolutely stay there again!

All the Comforts of Home

The property is tucked back in a private cove, beautiful large wrap around deck or sandy beach for lounging. Large windows in the living room to keep the view going when you come in for the evening or in the morning for coffee. Beds are comfy, kitchen is stocked, bathrooms are new and clean. Kayaking around the bay was fun, and a fire pit for S’mores, complete with marshmallow forks and wood. You will not be disappointed!

This was a great cabin to stay in. It is spacious and clean. The response time from the owner was always quick if we needed something.

Great Place to Stay!

Our Snowmobile Club really enjoyed snowmobiling in the area and coming back to a nice house for meals and friendship.The owners were accommodating and everything was clean and newly remodeled. I recommend this place.

This property was just as described and very clean. We stayed in the fall, you are able to access the ATV trails directly from this house. We would stay here again.

Annual Hayward Musky Trip

We have an annual trip to Hayward and this by far was the best setup/accommodations that we’ve had! The layout of the home is perfect for large groups and we couldn’t have asked for a better location on the lake! Thank you again ~

Beautiful property on the Chippewa Flowage!

We loved our stay at Sandy Pines Cove! Tracy was great to work with, prompt in communication, and very accommodating! It seems they have thought of about anything you might need and have provided it for your use during your stay! The living area was great for hanging out, playing games, making food, etc. They have provided about every type of cook/bakeware you might need. The private cove was so nice for docking our boats and being semi-protected from the open water if windy/stormy. The cove also had a nice little beach area making it a great spot for the kids to play in the sand and water. We hope to stay at this cabin again soon! Thank you, Jim & Tracy!

Great location, amenities and property

It was our family of five’s first experience on the flowage and we couldn’t have rented a better property. The location to get out and do some panfishing was excellent and the tucked in dock/beach was perfect for our kiddos to play and venture out on the paddle board and kayaks provided. We experienced spectacular sunsets from the fire pit and slept well in comfy beds. The cabin is beautiful with all the amenities and space our family needed or wanted. Communication was excellent and they went above and beyond to give us extra information about the area and the flowage. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic

The cottage was spacious but had a cozy feeling. The outside area was roomy and gave us plenty of room for games. The dock for our boat was perfect and the location was close to every thing. Tracy was very informative. Loved our time there.

Wonderful all-around

Just finished a week-long stay at Sandy Pines. The location is fantastic - tucked away in a little cove on a very quiet location on the lake. Yet, has easy access to restaurants and bars on the lake. The lake house had all the creature comforts of home. Plus, there was a separate enclosed game room right near the water in which we stored all of our fishing gear and from which were able to charge our boat battery. Tracy and Jim were very responsive and attentive and we rented their pontoon boat for the week - would seat 10 comfortably. We also enjoyed nights around the fire pit with all wood supplied. And there were kayaks, a paddle board, and canoe which we put to good use. A great family retreat all-around and we’ll be back!

Amazing stay and experience!

Tracy and Jim are the best hosts I've ever worked with! From the first contact, Tracy was so helpful, proactive and responsive. The home is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you could ask for (and more than normally provided). Definitely exceeded expectations. We absolutely loved sitting out on the deck for coffee and dinner, and around the campfire at night. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked with nice pans and all the extras. We had a pontoon and fishing boat, and appreciated that the dock is nicely protected and easy to pull in. Would highly recommend, and will be coming back next year. Thank you Tracy & Jim for sharing your beautiful home!

Absolutely wonderful!

The Sandy Pines was great. My wife, 4 young kids and I were there for New Years 2022 and had a blast. The house was immaculate, and was just like the pictures. We caught plenty of fish and had a good time in Hayward. Tracy was an amazing host!
