Most Accommodating

The ladies who are on site at Puerto Viejo Club are the sweetest and so very fun and helpful. They check on you daily and will even do your laundry for a very nominal fee. I don't think my clothes have ever smelled so fresh nor have ever been folded so nicely. We really enjoyed everything about our stay.

Buyer beware. Not as described. You won't get your money back.

Buyer beware. Not as described. Owner refused to give money back. Would never recommend this place. This is advertised as a villa with an open concept kitchen and living room and dining area. Here's what it actually is: three hot concrete bedrooms. They do not connect inside at all. All with out side locks. A concrete patio with a sink a refrigerator and two metal shelves. A table with some benches, and a loveseat and outdoor chair for a "living room". That's it folks. Almost immediately your host will come off the VRBO app and try to go on to WhatsApp. Do not follow him. VRBO has a rule that anything outside of VRBO communication is not admissible should there be a dispute. Upon realizing this was substantially different than what was described and realizing that this was unsafe for my young daughter to be locked in a room that I could not access from the inside, I immediately contacted him and he told me that he would put me in a room tonight with a bunk bed so that she could be in the room with me and the next day he would come and he would fix it. That was the last time I could get in touch with him. The room that we moved into had exposed wires in the shower, and a big chunk of tile fell onto my foot while I was using the sink. Following an incredibly hot and uncomfortable night, the next morning he was a no show. After trying for 3 to 4 hours to get in touch with him, we gave up and left. VRBO was no help. I'm now out almost $4,000.

We're sorry you decided to shorten your stay with us, even though we did our best to make you feel comfortable on our property. We understand that you were expecting to stay in a villa different from the one you booked. However, the villa you checked into upon arrival was exactly as described on VRBO. We do have many pictures and details of our villas on VRBO for our guests to see exactly what they look like before deciding whether or not to book with us. Additionally, we take safety seriously; our rooms can be locked inside and outside, and the entire property is fenced; we have security cameras and a caretaker. While the villa was as described, we still tried our best to meet your expectations. For example, when you asked for a bedroom with two separate beds, we arranged for you to stay in another villa without any additional charge. We also communicate with our guests using Whatsapp as it is the most direct and convenient way to stay in touch during their stay. Each room has a large fan, as the Caribbean nights can be cool, but we do not advertise false information about air conditioning on VRBO. We regret that you were dissatisfied with your stay with us, but we took extra steps to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. For instance, despite your late arrival, our receptionist welcomed you in person and even went to find dinner for you in town when everything was closed. Also, we didn't charge you for bringing your cats to our property. However, we are disappointed with your behavior during your stay, such as slamming doors and being rude to our staff. We hope that if you encounter any issues in the future, please feel free to address them directly and politely so we can find a solution together.

Nicer than expected

The Villa and property were much nicer than what the pictures showed, so we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were basic, just a bed and chairs, but modern and well decorated. The kitchen was large with plenty of utensils, but didn’t have cooking oil or a lighter for the glass stove. Had a couple of requests to the management during the stay, and they were slow to respond or not at all. The grounds were really nice and pretty cool, lots of trees and birds, with a toucan greeting us on arrival. The common area around the pool was spacious, with filtered water available for guests.

Great place to be away from the noise and enjoy Limon with peace

The location. The pool is big. The privacy of the rooms The kids pool was empty. I was traveling with a 3 yrs old so we would have liked for this pool to be available, as the website said. It seemed like it’s been empty for a while actually. And there was a noise in the roof at night so it was hard to sleep maybe it was an animal. It sounded like a squirrel eating nuts

Tranquilidad, privacidad y excelente servicio. Mejor Control de algunas pequeñas plagas (moscas). Poner al menos una pantalla de tv para mejorar la calidad del equipamiento.

Our beautiful property is located only 200 meters away from Playa Negra beach (less than a five-minute walk) and 2 km away from the vibrant town of Puerto Viejo. The property consists of nine villas surrounding a common area with a massive saltwater swimming pool, seating area, lounge chairs, outdoor communal kitchen, grill, wood-fired pizza oven, yoga deck (with great views of the surrounding greenery), tiki bar area, and fish pond/chill area. You can wake to the sound of howler monkeys and singing birds before a walk on the beach or yoga on the yoga deck. Additionally, our property is adorned with stone paths that wind through gardens of colorful plants and fruit trees! We often have bananas, papayas, plantains, and other delicious fruit set out in the communal kitchen for all to enjoy, all grown on the property
