Our largest unit! Thoroughly disinfected, first-floor oceanfront condo. Direct beach access in 1 min via gated boardwalk. Kitchenette, dining area, king bed in the bedroom, and queen sleeper sofa in the great room. Enjoy heated pool, pet showers, grilling area, coin laundry, and ice center. Leashed pets allowed on beach. $50 pet fee per pet per stay, 2 pet max limit. Only 15 mins from downtown.


The space
Welcome to our exquisite, spacious oceanfront paradise! This first-floor condo is our largest unit, providing ample space for your comfort. Rest assured, the unit is thoroughly disinfected after each stay, ensuring a pristine environment. Step outside and be delighted as you find yourself just a minute away from the beach, courtesy of a private, gated boardwalk. Inside, you'll discover a well-equipped kitchenette, including an induction range, allowing you the option to prepare meals and dine in at your leisure. A small dining area, perfect for enjoying meals with loved ones. The bedroom features a plush king bed, while the living room offers a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests. Indulge in the heated pool, where you can take a refreshing swim or simply unwind by the water. For your convenience, showers are available for both pets and people, ensuring everyone feels their best. Make use of the grilling area to savor a delicious outdoor barbecue. The complex also offers coin laundry facilities and an ice center, making it easy to refresh your wardrobe or cool down with a cold beverage.

With the 206 bridge just half a mile away, you'll have easy access to miles and miles of stunning beaches and inviting sidewalks, perfect for leisurely walks or invigorating runs. Guest access
Our prime location offers endless opportunities for fun and exploration. You'll have access to miles of pristine beaches, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or building sandcastles with the kids. Additionally, an array of local restaurants awaits within walking distance, offering delectable dining options. If you're in the mood for history, a short trip downtown will lead you to captivating historic sites.

There is a ton of free parking in front of the building. Please be aware that this is not a newly built, luxurious building. Folks come back year after year for the beautiful beach access and views, oceanfront patios, and heated pools, but if you're looking for a luxurious stay we suggest searching elsewhere as the condo itself is dated.

The unit is in Beacher's Lodge, address is 6970 A1A South. The map may not show the correct location, so make sure to look at the address before booking.
Other things to note


We warmly welcome your furry companions, as we are a pet-friendly establishment with a maximum limit of two pets per stay. Please note that there is a pet fee of $50 per pet per stay.

***BUILDING PROJECTS***
Beginning in October 2023 and lasting until the end of December 2023, Beacher's Lodge is expecting to have a few more projects being completed.

1. Crescent Beach Dune Renourishment - Mid November to December 2023:
Crescent Beach will be scheduled for a dune renourishment project. While we await further details, please be aware that this project may affect our beach access. Beacher's lodge may have to shut down their beach access. We are hopeful that the boardwalk will remain open to be able to guide you past the work area. However, please understand that we will be impacted, and there might be sand trucks working in front of our property during this time. The more the information becomes available, we will be sure to pass along.
- Work for Crescent beach is set for early to mid November. We heard an estimate of around 11/9 but that date is not set.
- The work schedule will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 7pm.
- They believe the project will be quick moving and anticipate being in front of our property directly for only a couple of days. During these 2-3 days our boardwalk and access to the beach will have to remain closed for working hours (6:30 am to 7pm). They cannot provide the exact dates of this closure, so we will have to provide that information as soon as it is provided to us.
- They will be closing the beach parking lot next door to us for the duration of the time they will be working on the beach in our area and will not allow pedestrian traffic through or use of the county beach boardwalk, so this will not be an option when our beach access is closed. While they stated they would not be parking heavy equipment there, they do intend to use this area next door for staging.
- They will be adding another dune directly in front of the existing dunes and the height is approximately 13' in height. They will plant sea oats in this newly formed dune.
- The purpose of this additional dune is more sacrificial, they say there is a 20% chance each year that a storm will come and wash away this sand, but the aim is to keep it from washing away the remainder of the existing dunes behind this new sand dune.
- Because our boardwalk extends 50' past the dunes, we do not expect our beach stairs to be impacted, they will put dirt underneath the boardwalk and around the pilings.
- There will be large equipment - dump trucks and excavators. This equipment will be noisy. They will bring vibration detection equipment to make sure that the vibrations do not exceed the allowed threshold, but we may hear some noise and/or vibrations during the working hours.

2. Property Maintenance Tasks - October 23rd, 2023 to December 22nd 2023:
Beacher's Lodge will have Complete Property Services return this fall to finish a punch list of items on property. In addition to the punch list, there is a small list of change order requests that will need to be approved and could potentially fill in some of the timeline provided below. From 10/23/23 until possibly 12/22/23 there will be workers present on property Monday- Friday, 8am to 6pm. There will be no property work performed on Saturdays and Sundays, there will be no work on Thanksgiving Thursday or Friday and we hope to be completed prior to the Christmas holiday week.

In the timeline below you will see specific weeks where we will be working on repainting the yellow transition stripes at the end of each alcove. When this work was done in early spring, there were too many visitors and people stepped and tracked through this yellow paint. Beacher's Lodge is requesting that we restrict occupancy of our condo during the specified week for the floor our condo is on. There will be grinding initially to remove the existing coatings and the yellow product will be reapplied and will need adequate time to dry.

10/23 - 10/27: Initial setup and general public areas, ground level items like cracks, paint bubbles etc.
10/30 - 11/3: 4th floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint, stucco patches on ground floor
11/06 - 11/10: 3rd floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint , stucco patches
11/13 - 11/17: 2nd floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint , stucco patches
11/20 - 11/22: General public areas - Public area items IE cracks, stucco etc.
11/23 - 11/24: Thanksgiving break
11/27 - ?: General public areas, done before Christmas break or sooner.

Living room AC didn’t work and had mold present. place is gross and needs completely gutted and rehabbed. The musty smell was so bad we had to buy deodorizer spray and my husband wanted to leave right away. Huge crack in the shower floor, tub floor is sinking, tub is falling apart and gross. Needs completely replaced. Kitchen cabinets falling off the wall and beat up. The couch covers wreak of dirty dog smell. We spent the majority of time away from this place as it was overall a huge waste of money and disgusting place. I am pissed we spent so much money on this. This unit is clearly a rental and the owners do not care what condition it’s in. The pictures are so deceiving. I cannot fathom how this place has decent reviews at all. The only positive is outside the room where you have the beach and a nice pool. I would not stay here again if someone paid me too. Terrible gross place.

I had a wonderful stay with my dog. I needed to relax, and the condo was perfect. It was quiet, steps to the beach, and the restaurants across the street had great food! I never drove my car once i got there. Can't wait to go back.

We love Beacher's Lodge

The grounds and pool kept very clean. We stay at Beacher's Lodge every year.  The ocean view and short walk to the beach is amazing! Please note there is steps going onto beach so no ramp for handicap individuals.... We do find it odd since the pool has a lift. This unit was clean when we arrived and what you would expect in older unit. The furnishings updated, the appliances and bathroom tub / sink older. The area that definitely need addressed is the sofa bed. The mattress was very very thin and you could feel the springs. I would definitely replace this matress! The host did respond promptly to our messages prior to arrival. The check in / out process was great!

Suggestions

The stay overall was wonderful. We had a few suggestions to improve future guests experience. We would have really liked to see more than 4 towels & 2 wash cloths for a 3 person stay for 3 days. Also would have been helpful to have an extra trash bag or two and disinfectant wipes to help us assist in tidying up rental prior to checkout.

This was awful

We got checked in ok. But there was no internet as advertised. Contacted host and she said there was a problem with the internet. It was advertised, but no internet. Be aware there is no heat in the unit. The first night was cold and there were no extra blankets. Contacted the host. She asked if we looked everywhere, which we had. No response, no delivery of blankets, so we spent another night cold. I asked for a partial refund and was told she would have to get with the team. We stayed Feb 5-7. It is now the 17th. Also, the light fixture above the table was caked with dust.

The property location is amazing! Being able to walk right out of the patio door and watch the sunrise/set was so nice. Overall property grounds are well kept, vending machines didn’t work but there is a gas station across the street. The property felt very safe and was quiet. Parking was easy however there was some miscommunication about parking passes and the office wasn’t much help. Thankfully I have stayed in VRBO’s before and once I was able to get in the room knew to look for a binder with more details and able to locate one. The door lock was very troublesome and again lack of communication of how to operate. I was given the code and told to pull the door but I have never used one that also had to have the deadbolt rotated and it took forever (& 4 people) to finally access the room. Then at leaving out of the room the door didn’t just simply lock, it was another round of trying to figure this lock out and on at least 2 occasions I thought the door was locked when I left and it was actually not. Didn’t love that. Cleanliness of the room was good, not great. The kitchen counters were covered in dust, floors appeared to have dog hair on them. (I did not have a dog with me) and there was a lot of dust in the bedroom. The bathtub was another concern. It looked covered in mildew and felt very unstable when in the shower. Updates have been made but you can tell it was a very rushed and cost efficient. Wouldn’t be my top choice but I would stay again and price was good.

We enjoyed our stay. The property gave us what we needed. Nothing fancy but quiet and convenient. Would have like the pool to be open until 9 or 10. But not a deal breaker. Conveniently located to St Augustine and away from the crowds. Will consider this location again.

Updated unit in an older basic condo building with lovely beach.

Sweet older but newly updated (for the most part). Loved opening the sliding door to the beautiful view. Perfect for two people. Amenities in the unit in good shape. Pool area does not wow but beach is easily accessed. No loud parties, almost private beach area. Did have some communication issues with owner when we had a problem.

Pictures of inside were accurate, fan and air conditioner had a ton of dust, dirt balls, and dirt buIld up. Neighborhood was sort of sketch and my wife and daughter were cautious at night when arriving. Construction crews were right on top of you, so as two women, they were concerned about someone peering into unit.

Our second stay at Beacher's Lodge and we loved it again. Quaint old school condo.. not fancy, but all ya need and more. We will probably be back in late spring or summer. Can't wait!
