This beautifully appointed single-story home offers comfort, charm, and sweeping city views. The spacious family room showcases a stunning panorama of downtown Spokane—perfect for relaxing while enjoying your favorite show or movie on the 55" Smart TV. Amazon Prime is included with your stay.

Both bedrooms are designed for restful nights, featuring comfy hybrid mattresses with soft cotton bedding. One bedroom offers a king bed and the other a queen, and each bedroom has its own mini-split unit so guests can customize their preferred temperature.

The dining room comfortably seats four and overlooks both the kitchen and the city beyond, making every meal a scenic experience.

Tucked away is a cozy reading nook with its own TV, overlooking the peaceful backyard. For a fun surprise, a hidden door reveals a staircase leading to a “secret” upstairs bonus room—an inviting space to unwind, read a book, or enjoy a show.

The home includes a well-stocked kitchen, a coffee and tea bar, a full-size washer and dryer, and a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Parking is convenient, with options both in front of the home and in the rear carport.
Step outside to the fully fenced and beautifully landscaped backyard, where you’ll find an inviting outdoor dining area with seating for four and a propane grill—ideal for al fresco meals and relaxing evenings.

The home is just a short stroll to the vibrant Garland District, known for its charming shops, local restaurants, and nostalgic small-town feel. During the summer, enjoy the Garland District Farmers Market every Tuesday from 3–7 p.m. The nearby bluff-top walking path is a favorite for dog walking, jogging, or leisurely family strolls with picturesque views.

Centrally located, the home is just 3 miles from downtown Spokane, 1.7 miles from Gonzaga University, 4.3 miles from Whitworth University, 3.2 miles from Sacred Heart Hospital, and 41 miles from Silverwood Theme Park.

DOGGIES/PETS:

Up to two well-behaved dogs (less than 50#s, 1 year+, housebroken). If your pup doesn't meet these guidelines, reach out to hostess with additional information and special approval may be granted. $52+tax pet fee if added after booking. Sorry, no cats are allowed due to allergies.

Our first Vrbo ever. SO HAPPY with it. Sincerely, one of the cleanest and cutest little place! Although it is a small house, the layout made it so roomy. We had kids and grandkids over for early Christmas. It never felt crowded in the least. The amenities and extras for our 2 little dogs were above and beyond! The hidden loft room is the cutest thing ever. A big hit for the adults and kids. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Have stayed here multiple times. The home is alway very clean and organized. Very comfortable homey feeling. Theres alway filtered water in frig ready to drink. Beds are nice and comfortable. Hilary is always quick to answer any question we have. Love love love this home.

Lawn and interior and appliances were spotless. Furniture very comfortable. Fantastic view of city both from inside and front comfortable porch chairs (including evening lights). Nice Kuerig coffee machine. TV's in every room. Very comfortable beds with lots of drawer space. Nice covered carport in rear, including space for extra car or two. Coded locks for easy access.

This property was probably the best short term rental I've ever had. It was clean, beautiful decor, excellent location, quiet, great a/c, spacious, comfortable bedding and beds, fluffy towels, well equipped kitchen. Just a perfect home away from home. The owner was so nice and very responsive. I highly recommend if you are visiting Spokane!!

Great spot in Spokane with 2 dogs!

We were in Spokane for a night with our 2 dogs. It was a super clean, well taken care of rental with many amenities that make it feel like home (e.g., washer/dryer, coffee machine, backyard). Only thing is if you do have dogs, the location isn't ideal for walking dogs, as there aren't many sidewalks around neighborhood. It is better to play with them in the backyard or drive to a hike (definitely not a dealbreaker, though!). If you are looking for a spot to stay in Spokane, definitely worth your time/money!

Awesome home and stay!

Seriously one of the best stays! The owners are so responsive and really want you to enjoy their home! The house is beautiful with so many awesome touches. The home is clean and neat and cozy and comfortable. The owners don’t try to make you nervous like some others do. A perfect view of the city from all windows at the front of the house! Do yourself a favor and stay here!We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent and enjoyable stay.

My wife and I have stayed in many vacation rentals and this was the best! The kitchen is well stocked, the bed was very comfortable and the location is great. Host, Hilary, was readily available to answer any questions we had. Our dog loved sitting on the back steps enjoying the sun. We highly recommend this home.

Fantastic stay - like vacation rentals should be!

My family of four plus our dog stayed here this week and it was just wonderful. The hosts were extremely helpful / communicative, and clearly put a lot of thought into the experience they wanted us to have as guests. The home itself was spotless and felt more like a hotel in some way than a rental. Really and truly outstanding — all details were thoughtfully considered. I especially recommend this property for folks traveling with kids and pets as the back yard space was safe and inviting and very well maintained. Thanks!!.

Cozy with a veiw!

Came to Spokane for Spring break. Hillary and the Overlook Nook provided all the bells and whistles. Location, veiw, and a safe neighborhood/yard to have family time. My girls LOVED the secret room!! The beds were so comfortable. Even our Corgi was spoiled with goodies. We will be back. Thank you.

Quaint and perfect

Excellent experience from start to finish. They say beauty is in the details and this place hit every detail. Cute, clean, and well appointed. It had something for everyone in our family. My 8 yr old loved her own little nook, my 14 year old had his x box in the cozy upstairs, our dog was spoiled with goodies and my husband and I could relax in the comfy living area. Responsive host. Detailed instructions for the home. Fantastic!

My family and I (husband Loren, daughter Courtney, and two doggies) lived in Las Vegas for many, many years. Tired of the never ending HEAT, not to mention the hustle and bustle, we wanted (and NEEDED) a change. From the mountains to the plains, the Ponderosa Pines to the lakes and rivers, the beautiful area, the oh so friendly people, and the change of seasons (yes, even winter!) is what prompted us to quit our corporate jobs, pack up our belongings, and make the move to Spokane!

Our pets are part of our family and when we travel we want to bring them. Locking them up in a cage in a hotel room didn't appeal to us (and I can't imagine that they liked it either) so renting a vacation rental was a perfect solution for us. We've enjoyed vacation rentals throughout the country for over 10 years now so we know what we liked and what didn't work so well for us.

As your hosts, we're here to help but want to give you the space and privacy you desire. The Overlook Nook is a home designed and dedicated for vacation travel. Our goal is for your stay to be cozy and comfy for the entire family, with all of the fixings of your home, so you'll be five star happy!

This is a great single story home located in the Garland District - a charming "old school" section of Spokane. It has a fantastic view of downtown from the front yard and a nice fenced yard in back. Very comfy with a little space to spread out!

Built in 1948, the home was completely remodeled by the two of us in 2021. The interior was designed around the "starburst" light fixture in the dining room - which intentionally has a blue wall behind it which reminds me of an evening star. Hubby added the brick wall in the living room which we thought would go great with the leather couch. Everyone thought I was nuts when I told them I was painting one of the bedrooms all a dark color - the walls, trim and doors. With a hint of pink added, everyone loves how it turned out. The upstairs bonus space wasn't originally going to be available to guests (but who doesn't like to check out a mystery set of stairs hidden behind a door) and wall-la! a comfy reading/TV watching room!
