Great Family Vacation at Norris Lake!

Beautiful home, and the lake is absolutely fantastic! Pretty location in a quiet cove with a huge dock and access to a kayak and paddleboard. The home was very comfortable with plenty of space for our family to spread out, room for the cousins to play and tons of games to enjoy. The host provided great information, was available and helpful before and during our stay.

We had a great time! Everything was as listed with a few extras. Jim was great to work with! Marina within a couple minutes by boat. Would def rent again.

This was our first trip to Norris Lake and it didn't disappoint. The house was great-plenty of room and everything we needed. The dock and cove were wonderful for swimming/floating and fishing. Very peaceful and quiet area and neighbors were very nice. We rented a pontoon from Mountain Lake Marina which is about a 10 min boat ride from house. Jim was extremely responsive to any questions and provided all information to make the stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing week. This was our first trip to Norris Lake and so glad we chose this property for our stay. The house was perfect and we especially enjoyed the fire pit on the deck where we spent our evenings. There were many steps as warned but well worth the trip down to the spacious dock and peaceful cove where we swam and fished. Mountain Lake Marina delivered a pontoon boat right to our dock and we enjoyed exploring the lake for a few days. Jim was extremely helpful answering all my questions and providing all necessary information for our stay. We would definitely stay again.

So much family fun

The home was beautiful with enough room for everyone. If I had a suggestion at all it would be to add warmer or more blankets but then I love blankets. Thank you to the wonderful property owners that helped us enjoy our family

House was as advertised, clean with plenty of space & perfect for a group with families. Dock was superb with electric conveniently located for blowing up inflatables and charging boat batteries. Located in a very protected cove with easy access to jumping rocks and close to 3 marinas.

Norris Family Vacation

The house was in great shape and well equipped. Lots of space for 6 adults and 4 kids. Dock was fantastic. There are quite a few steps to the lake, but they were stone and sturdy and not slippery. Firepit area was very nice. Driveway was a little tricky (steep) but manageable. We brought in groceries and cooked all meals except for one. We took a quick boat ride to Mountain Lake Marina and had dinner one night. Great food and affordable. We had a fantastic time!

Great Lake get away

Perfect place on the lake. Quick and easy to all the Marinas, quiet dock, low wake. Plenty of house amenities- makes it nice when you are there. Internet is fast enough to stream tv and play games. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful summer vacation with adult children and 1 newborn

We had a great time at the Gaskell's Norris Lake home. It was the first family vacation we've had all together with our now adult children, a spouse (ages 20, 24, 28) and our first grandchild, a newborn! We loved and utilized all that they had to offer... the covered slip for our boat, paddle board, kayak, fire pit, gas grill, air hockey and the very well appointed kitchen as we cooked dinner every night. We needed for nothing but here a couple of tips. We brought a folding table that we left on the covered portion of the dock to hold any food and supplies lending to fewer trips up and down the 70+ steps to the house. We would also recommend buying all of your supplies in town (we bought all of our necessary groceries not brought from home from Walmart) before heading to the house...it's a 20+ minute drive on narrow, winding roads. We thought we would head back into town half way through the week, not knowing the route, and once we were settled in decided not to make the trip there and back another time...we decided to make do and spend more time on the beautiful lake :) Thank you , Gaskell Family, for sharing your home with us, we had a beautiful and memorable stay!

Beautiful Lake Home!

This was our family's first trip to Norris Lake and we were very pleased and happy with our stay in Jim's home. Everything was perfect. Jim was very responsive to messages and we had no issues at all. The home is beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We took our boat along and docked it at the house for the week. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the lake and surrounding areas. We would love to return for future visits! Great family vacation!

The house and area are excellent! We had 11 people total with two families with five kids ages 5-12, along with 4 parents and 2 grandparents, and everyone had a blast. There was plenty of room in the house for everyone and besides taking numerous boat trips on the pontoon we rented, we never left the house. We needed to replenish a few groceries and the nearby Walmart delivered to the house which was great. Jim and Marj were very responsive and helpful, although we didn’t need much because the house was so clean, equipped, well marked, etc. We had never been to Lake Norris before, and we were very impressed. The lake is enormous, clean, and not crowded. Water temp was perfect too. The dock at the house is large and in great shape. The nearby Mountain Lake Marina was also very nice with great service. We rented a pontoon which is highly recommended to explore such a large lake, and also rented a tube to pull the kids. Wonderful experience all around.

Another Fantastic Stay

This was our 2nd time staying at this property and it was even better than before. We owners wholeheartedly care about their lake home and continue to make upgrades. The dock was perfect for us and the cove is quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and the table was large enough for all 9 of us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great option for family reunion

We had a blast! The house was great for multiple families of different ages who want an escape. Pay attention to the driveway parking and steps down to the lake descriptions (both are accurate and can be a challenge for some people). Very quiet and peaceful

Perfect place for family.

Our stay here was fantastic. Everything it said in the listing was correct and the home was very well kept. Yes, there are a lot of steps going down to the dock but that is most places on lake Norris. The dock is huge and having the kayak and paddle board provided was a nice added bonus. There were nine of us total, including 19, 18 and 15-year-olds who had a blast. Communication with Jim was never an issue. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.

Since we are located back in a cove, swimming around the dock or going for longer swims is perfectly fine since there is no boat traffic. There is also great hiking on the TVA trails across the cove you are certain to enjoy.
