Located on Nantucket Sound, the free public Pleasant Street beach is a mere 3-minute walk from Perry's Chatham Haven! Pleasant Street beach is a very pleasant beach indeed - a small, quiet, sandy ocean beach, known for its moderate waves and unusual rock jetties, and is a popular spot for pro para-surfers and windsurfers. Also known to beachcombers for its wide variety of shells to collect, this is also a great site to paddle board, kite surf, kayak or launch your sail boat toward Monomoy or Wychmere Harbor. A beach sticker is not required, and parking is limited, but Perry's Chatham Haven is so close, it won't matter.

Wonderful vacation home!

We truly enjoyed our week in this property and it had everything we needed for a great vacation. We stayed there with 6 adults and a dog and felt there was plenty of room for everyone (although the kitchen is a bit cramped). The rooftop terrace is beautiful to enjoy morning coffee and again to stargaze at night. We really loved the outdoor shower. I see other reviews complaining that it's not "updated," but I disagree - everything was in perfect working order and was modern. Highly recommend!

Overall we loved it. Great location. couple minor things would improve the stay: 1. Need a blind on bedroom window because sun streams in at 5 am. 2. Need an extra door key that actually works.

Perry's Chatham Haven ★ S. Chatham

My family rented this property for an extended weekend to attend a family vacation. This property is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and appears just as advertised. It was very clean, roomy, and accessable to both downtown Harwichport and Chatham Center. It was a quick walk to the beach, which you could walk right onto, no stairs required! Our property also had a rooftop deck which was nice to sit up high with a breeze and just relax. Overall, highly recommentd this property for an R & R weekend getaway or a weeklong vacation.

Comfortable and clean

We had a great week here. Our property manager was communicative and accommodating regarding a minor AC issue (which was fixed within two days). The house was extremely clean and we had everything we needed for the week. The house is in a great location- we visited several beaches, rented bikes and enjoyed fresh seafood. The backyard and roof deck could use some TLC, as there were a lot of splintery areas and rusty nails.

Great Cape Escape

We just spent a week at this cottage and loved every minute of it. I have been coming to the Cape every summer since I was a kid and have stayed in many houses all over the Mid-Cape. For this summer, I was looking for a house within easy walking distance to the beach on the outer shoreline. I also wanted it to be dog-friendly. This cottage checked all the boxes and more. It was well-stocked with all the useful kitchen supplies. Towels and bed linens were clean, ready, and waiting for us. There’s a binder of instructions and tips on the dining room desk, so look for that (we didn’t notice it until we were packing up to leave :) We only needed food and bottled water to get through the first night. The location is convenient to grocery stores, CVS, Dunkin (!), and plenty of restaurants. The beach was small, but nice and we had plenty of room to spread out each time we went (no need to get there super early). There were lots of shells and interesting stones to explore. The beach is flanked on either side by private beaches, which was actually great because they were mainly empty and offered long quiet walks along the water. The only negative was the large amounts of seaweed on the beach and in the shallows. There apparently is no town raking/removal. Not a big deal, but something to note. Choose this cottage without hesitation. Definitely a great spot!

Better than the photos show!

This house is in the perfect location! We were steps away from the beach and a short ride to all things Chatham and Harwich. The house was immaculate, and we really enjoyed the roof deck. We had breakfast there each morning and also sat there in the afternoon. Everything about this experience was very easy and enjoyable. We would highly recommend!

Delightful and close to beach

Cute place. Loved the beach proximity. The Cape themed decor added to the fun. This place is clean, comfortable, and retro. If your taste is modern marble and chrome, look elsewhere. But it fit our needs delightfully.

Charming house in a great location

We loved our stay here! It's a very charming house in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood with a small beach nearby. The beach is overflowing with shells, but isn't the greatest place for going into the water if that's what you're aiming for. The house had a few plumbing hiccups, first with the outdoor shower not working and sending a load of rusty water through the plumbing system when we tried to turn it on. We also had the hot water go out on our last day there which sent another load of rusty water through the system, filling up the hot water heater again leaving us unable to shower that day. It's an older house that may be prone to issues like this. The property manager was responsive to these issues. Overall, we didn't go there to get upset by little hiccups like this and loved our stay!

Birthday weekend

My fiancé and I were looking for a wedding venue in Cape Cod and it also happened to be my birthday weekend. We jumped on this VRBO venue, and loved it. The house had everything you could need, it’s in a great location, and has a wonderful rooftop deck. It slept 6 adults easily, and was a perfect, albeit, short stay. Would definitely recommend.
