松の木に完全に囲まれたアイディルワイルドの多くの家とは異なり、ドームはクレストビュードライブの端にあり、晴れた日に海を眺めることができ、新しくリフォームされました！ ドームは1エーカー以上の土地をカバーしています。 中央の溶岩の煙突から離れた3つの暖炉の1つまたはすべての前で、毎晩、蒸し暑いホットタブまたは隣接するデッキから夕日を眺めたり、外で食事をしたり、寄り添ったりしてください。 リビングルームには、ドームの3分の1を囲む高さ26フィートの天井があります。 この家は、40フィートの高さの岩に隣接して建てられており、ネイティブアメリカンのどんぐり鉢が最高点で岩に刻まれており、下の谷の最高の景色を眺めることができます。 デッキに立って、鹿が丘の中腹に登るのを見てください。 星が触れるのに十分近いように見えるので、星を見つめて夜を過ごしてください。 これまでに有名な「ドラマティックジオデシックドーム」で世界の頂点に立つ瞬間をお楽しみください。

Really pretty getaway spot!

The dome was a great spot for our friend group pups to visit. It’s a short drive/walk into town, the view is incredible, the layout/space is really unique, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well equipped. The hot tub wasn’t cooperating for our stay which was a bit of a bummer, and there was a little more non-Vrbo paperwork than expected to lock in the rental, but overall I’d strongly recommend for those considering visiting.

Unique and comfortable house

We enjoyed this house - the unique design and gorgeous views were the highlights! The house is very comfortably set up; we were particularly impressed by the well-stocked kitchen. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the scenery as well. The location of the hot tub is amazing! We couldn’t get the living room TV to work, unfortunately.

This is THE spot

My wife and I rented this house out with some family and ended up fitting 4 families very comfortably. The views are terrific, especially from the highest deck. Everything was very clean and ready for us to move in for the weekend. We did a 13 mile hike through the San Jacinto Wilderness and the hot tub was definitely something to look forward to... We will definitely be back!! Thank you Amy :)

The Dome

We arrived in Idyllwild just as the roads got very slick from snow and ice, so be sure to have a great set of chains or 4 wheel drive during the winter months as The Dome is uphill! The views are remarkable, especially from the hot tub! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking. This was a great house for 3 families that love playing board games and hanging out together! Be prepared for togetherness as sound in The Dome carries! The folks at New Spirit Vacation Homes were very helpful!

Well Appointed Home with Amazing View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 4 days in the early spring -- cold nights, but the home has blankets and heaters and we had no problem keeping warm. The entire place was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed plus more. Towels and toilet paper were plentiful and easy to find. Plenty of space and entertainment for our kids. The house has an amazing view of the area and was located close to town and multiple trails and parks for exploring. Idyllwild is a charming community and a relaxing vacation. New Spirt Homes was wonderful to work with -- quick to answer any questions and seemingly always available. I will definitely use them again (they seem to run many of rentals in the area)

Beautiful outdoor location

Good: Beautiful view and cute outdoor spaces. Well stocked but missing some items including coffee. Property manager very responsive to fix problems with house. Bad: Property manager forces photographs of credit card and license and to sign an extra contract, none of which was REQUIRED when booking and they use an unvalidated system to store these so they need to add it to the property description. Tiny grill. A lot of items are broken like toilet seat cover, ripped leather couch and stairs, fridge did not work on arrival and spent hours with them to fix it. Acoustics carry all noise from downstairs to upstairs so difficult to sleep if people are awake.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property mgmt company was great to work with, communication was great, the dome was quirky and unusual-just what we were looking for. The regularly used surfaces we’re very clean, but the whole house could use a “Spring cleaning”-seriously! Attention to details like window coverings over all the bedroom windows, the sprayer in kitchen sink needs replaced and the bottom rack of the dishwasher needs wheels. The largest upstairs bedroom does not have a full wall to the top of the ceiling, so you wake with the earliest riser. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor space was great!

Amazing Views and Great open setup. Close to town and hiking.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time very nice owners, views were great! it was right next to the side of the mountian so you could see for miles. Very spacious living area and nice big kitchen. Rooms were just fine for sleeping and beds were comfy. Lots of stairs to go up but it's worth it. Tub tub views were really quite nice also and Great for sunsetsIn the sun there's cool lizards all over the back rock area that like to check you out also. Large squirrels and many birds in the area as well. hiking trials are super close and numerous. many within 5-10min drive. The town is so cool def spots to check out is the many eatery's, the brewpub, the vintage Store on the second level main town and the winery's

Nice Views

I stayed here with my family. While the views were nice I was disappointed in the fact that we were unable to use the outdoor fireplace. In fact, it is unusuable. We had the fire dept up to the house after the neighbors saw us using it. They said they had been up to the house before. We couldn't understand why the owners would not have told us. Also the hot tub fits about 3 people and was not working. None of the bathrooms supplied any soap either. It did have a play area and toys which was great for kids, a well stocked kitchen was nice too. If you go, bring extra towels, soap, paper towels, trashbags.Also, be careful about renting the bunkhouse, the sink was not in working condition either. Also, you need to realize that to use an outdoor grill in Idyllwyld you need to first get a permit from the fire dept in town, wish we had been told some of these things prior to going.

As of May of 2011, The Dome is under new ownership. You will be happy to know that the outdoor fireplace can be enjoyed by all, as it has been converted to a gas burning fireplace. Now one can cuddle up with their sweetheart and enjoy the ambiance outdoors. We now offer two tubs, one is a cold cedar tub with aroma therapy mineral oils, and a hot tub, which rests atop the property offering breathtaking valley views. To use an outdoor grill, a permit is not required with a gas grill, which is now provided. All linens are provided along with soap, paper towels and trash bags, however if you have a large party we do recommend bringing extras. Under the new management with New Spirit Vacation Rentals, we have an office in town and are more than happy to assist you at anytime.

The Dome

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was clean and beautiful with wonderful views. We enjoyed the jacuzzi immensely and the kids climbed all over the boulders. The towels were soft and abundant and the kitchen was fully stocked. A couple of items could be addressed for future renters: 1) The sewer smell in the master bedroom and outside was pretty awful. Perhaps the septic tank cannot accommodate the stated number of 10 people after all? We had 9 in the big house. 2) The lighting along the stairs up to the Jacuzzi is inadequate. An accident is waiting to happen and you have a liability issue. Several lights were broken. 3) The TVs are outdated. And the dishwasher is old, the door is broken, and it's hard to turn on. 4) The front screen door does not close properly.

Please also know we appreciated the tone of your message which is more positive and non-confrontational. Your review of our comments would be most appreciated; Sewage smell- We are not disputing your feedback but please know the septic system was emptied and inspected just prior to your arrival. It is possible that there was some spill or mis-management of the service itself and we have requested for the pumping company to revisit the property for inspection Outdoor lighting inadequate-There is a motion detector light outside the master bedroom which is activated by motion alongside that walkway. There is switch for this light in the master bedroom. We apologize of this was not pointed out or was not working. Outdated TV's- The Vizio's are internet ,working ,and last year model. The Philips in approx 3 years old but the 60" Samsung is DLP so old tech plus the upstairs bedroom 32 " is for gaming only so yes older tech . Owner plans to update Samsung after the holiday rush. Screen Closure- Assume this is the kitchen door and if on tracks works just fine per our investigation Should you decide to plan another mtn trip with your family/friends we would love for you to be willing to stay again with us while we offer you a discount for your stay.
