Girls trip

Great location. We were able to walk from the train station to the apartment. It is in the 6th floor and a little narrow stairs for carrying up a full sized suitcase. No AC but the window open was pretty good to cool the place at night. We had 3 bath towels but no hand towels. Great communication with the host. Instructions to get in and lock up were very clear. We would return.

the property is in an excellent location a three minute walk from the Maubert-Mutualite metro station, and within easy walking distance of restaurants, markets, and the Pantheon. neighborhood is moderately quiet; it is well furnished for 1 or two persons, has a washing machine for laundry, but no microwave. it is, on the 4th floor (fifth floor for us Americans), and was not the cleanest (some sawdust on the baseboards (there is a unit being renovated opposite), a couple of stray hairs under the bed and in the carpet, but in general it was okay. the owner/management communication left a lot to be desired- they “forgot” to send me the “automated” email with the access codes by 1800 the night before, as stated. they either never replied to messages on Vrbo, or replied days later. when i called the management number, as i was on the train to Paris the day of check in), they “couldn’t find” my booking (eventually they did). for checkout they require a photo, but Vrbo doesn’t allow photo attachments to its message service? i texted it to the management number and requested confirmation, and then messaged on Vrbo requesting confirmation. it is now 4 days later, still no word.this could be a wonderful base for exploring Paris for an experienced traveler who isn’t easily flustered by poor communication from management- make sure you have a local/international telephone (so you can call/text them, as they won’t respond to your Vrbo messages in time).

My husband and I enjoyed a one week stay. The apartment was comfortable and well suited to our needs. The kitchen has all basic cooking utensils and a great washing machine. There are 2 bathroom areas. One with a shower and sink and another with a toilet and sink. It is conveniently located at the Maubert-Mutualite metro stop with many cafes and restaurants immediately at the doorstep. While none of these things were issues for us, they may be notable for others. The apartment is referred to as a 'bed and breakfast', which in the traditional sense it is not. It is on the 4th floor which could be a challenge for those with lots of luggage. There is a pull out futon as well which would be good for an extra person but, I would suggest that the apartment is best suited for 2 -3 people. All in all it was a great spot!
