No one will mind cooking with these views, kitchen has every gadget any home chef would need. The King Murphy bed boast luxury linens and allows or ample space. You will fall in love with the sound of the waves lapping on the beach as you drift off to sleep. The enclosed lanai is the perfect retreat with a convertible sofa for additional sleeping. There is a quaint dining area, flat screen TV and ceiling fan. The bathroom has a walk in shower and vanity area.The Maui Kai Resort offers gorgeous direct views of the ocean, Lanai and Molokai. Spend your days snorkeling, scuba diving, or just lounging on the beach. Soak up the sun at the pool or relax in the jacuzzi after a fun filled day on Maui. BBQ grills on property for your use. For your convenience there are coin operated washer and dryers on each floor. Maui Kai’s central location is walking distance to fabulous food trucks, shopping center, groceries, and urgent care facility. Just a short drive to Kaanapali Beach, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay, 15-minute drive to Lahaina’s famous Front Street shops and restaurantsWhile we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. So relaxing with the sound of the waves just feet from the lanai. Very quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Host was very friendly and responsive.

The proximity to the ocean was the best. The view from our lanai was all ocean with both Malachi and Lanai across the way. Sunsets were great from here. We could see turtles and whales. The condo itself was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We would stay here again.

Maui is a very nice place. Lots to do and everything is within a reasonable distance to get to.

Enjoyed the stay. We watched whales everyday from the lanai overlooking the ocean..the unit had everything you would need for a comfortable stay..really enjoyed it.

Breakfast in the lanai watching whales!!

Nice, clean condo in one of the first condos built in the Kaanapali area, on the beach and well situated. Small beach next to the building and good snorkeling at the Honoapi’ilani Park, just South of the building, within 10’ walk. Food track park and Times supermarket a short walk away from the unit.

Whale of a stay!

The view is amazing as shown in the picture. Lots of shops around. Groceries nearby. The unit is nicely updated and the Murphy bed is really a great way to make more space!

Location!

Maui Kai condos is an older building right on the ocean. It doesn’t have the same amenities as some of the bigger developments in the vicinity, which was perfect for us. Not crowded, not noisy. The people who worked there were very responsive when we had issues and got things taken care of quickly.

Perfect Spot

This is the perfect spot for an awesome getaway. The condo has everything we needed. Toaster, coffee pot, beach chairs, even a cooler to use while here. There are extra blankets if you get cold, there are even spices if you wish to cook on the stove, or grill located by the pool. In summary, for us….this place was perfect. A huge plus is that it is literally right on the water.

Great views and good location

The view from the lanai was awesome - you are right on the ocean. The unit was a good size and has everything you need. Everything worked as expected although the air conditioning unit was a bit sensitive. We found the unit to be a bit "tired." The bathroom looks updated but has a tired look about it - and the shower leaked under the door.

Amazing ocean views plus great location!

Wow, what a view! We were so excited to spot whales from our oceanfront condo, and this place was absolutely perfect for it. It's clean and fully equipped, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The private lanai with its sliding doors offered a peaceful retreat, and the quiet atmosphere was just what we needed.Parking was a breeze, and we loved having access to the outdoor pool and BBQ grill. Plus, a good plaza with restaurants and a grocery store was just a short walk away. The building is right on the water. We couldn't resist taking long strolls along the beach before sunset.We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to return!

Amazing

I have to admit, walking up at dark I was a little reluctant. Then opening up the front door I was wrong. The place was amazing!!! I am so thankful for an amazing place my family and I could enjoy!!! The beach chairs were amazing it was so clean and I slept on the lanai all week… so relaxing and peaceful

Jaw-dropping views in a clean, cozy condo studio

- unparalleled views right out the window of active whales (late February) - clean, cozy new remodeled apartment - food trucks & amenities within walking distance - the negatives were: (1) incorrect keycode was given initially, but resolved within a couple minutes and (2) the bathroom smelt heavily of sewage for a few hours toward the end of our stay but that was remedied by turning the air ventilation on.

Clean and Refreshing look

The Decor has a Beautiful Beachy feel. You get a beautiful view of Sunsets and later in the early morning with a full moon shining on the ocean is amazing. Saw Humpback Whales, Spinner Dolphins, Green Sea Turtles and a Monk Seal from our balcony. Bring a good pair of binoculars if you have one. As the ones supplied are fairly small. Wife misplaced her wedding ring. The lady cleaning the room after we checked out found it and returned it to the front desk. Thank you. In all it was a great place to stay.

High expectations exceeded

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was perfect. The checkin process was simple with just one form to fill out for parking. The apartment was clean and stocked with all the basics we needed like chairs, towels, coolers. The kitchen was perfect for making a small breakfast and packing a lunch before heading to the beach. The location next to all the resorts gave us the luxury of resort food, bars, and beaches at a third the price.

The Maui Kai is the best!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I absolutely loved this property! Could not get any better views or closer to the water than the Maui Kai. We saw sea turtles every day and whales on multiple days we were there. The room was very clean and exactly as shown on the listing. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Great amenities including the pool, game room, access to laundry, full kitchen and very friendly staff. If we come back to Maui, we won’t look any further than the Maui Kai!

The view cannot be beaten!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean and comfortably furnished. The lanai is the best place to watch the sea creatures in the crystal clear water and catch the fresh sea breeze. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed and then some. We appreciated the sturdy beach chairs, umbrella and towels. We liked the quite sea front location with amazing beaches just a walk or short drive away. We didn't use the pool/cabana/on site laundry, but appreciated that they were all there for our use. Communication was clear and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Relax on the lanai watching the green Sea Turtles, take a daily walk on the beach walk from Honua Kai to the Hyatt Regency for a 6 mile round trip. Great restaurants and food trucks are nearby too. Great location, but watch out for rules and chores

My wife and I loved the location. There are some great places to eat nearby and a grocery store- all walking distance. The place was quiet. Excellent view of the beach, and no parking issues. We are docking because shortly after booking, there was an additional contract we needed to sign with multiple house rules. These house rules were not displayed prior to booking and we had already spent a lot of time looking at different places and didn’t want to go through the process again. Some rules include taking out trash and doing dishes prior to leaving… what is the point of us paying a hefty cleaning fee if your cleaner can’t do that? On top of that, we found hair in the shower, and was dirty/dusty behind the bed. We loved the location. We did not like the lack of transparency prior to booking, the cleaning fee for lack of cleanliness, and the expectation to have us clean.

While we provide check-out instructions as a courtesy to help keep things running smoothly between guests, tasks like taking out the trash and starting the dishwasher are suggestions rather than requirements. Beautiful waterfront condo with best location!

This place is not big but it is well arranged and equipped with all necessary furniture and appliances for a small family up to 2 children. We were so happy that the unit is right on the water with breathtaking ocean view. My daughter was sleeping on the pullout couch on the closed up balcony, enjoying the ocean sound every night. That is the best experience she'd ever had! She would not switch the spot with parent for even one night! :-) The property management team for this unit is outstanding. They are very responsive and helpful. After we called for additional linen and quilt, they brought a new quilt and extra linen next day. Only thing not perfect is that they only provide one day of shampoo, condition and shower gel which are just 3 small tubes. But super market is right cross the street to purchase your own, so it is not a big issue. Overall, this unit is great vacation option for a small family or a couple. Prime location on the water close to stores, restaurants and beaches and very affordable pricing. We had a great time! Thank you! Make sure to try the trucks' food right outside of the complex. Food are so delicious!

Beware !!!! Please Read

Everything was great until we checked out and went home. We received an email that said we did damage to the door which was fireproof. They also charged out credit card $3000 for this damage on our credit card……. By some higher power i took a video the first thing when we walked in and had time stamped dated posted on Facebook text to a friend proof that the damage was there before we arrived! If it wasn’t for that we would’ve been out $3000 because we had proof. I’m not sure if this is some kind of scam but the odd of me taking that video was all of Jesus himself! Whenever staying at any rental property take a video of the place right when you enter, take a picture of the door, front door, closet inside doors everywhere for proof. we did send the video to the owners and we did get our money back but if it wasn’t for that video we would’ve been screwed $3000 Beware!!

The View & Sunset OMG

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wow. From the moment I entered the condo, I felt the ocean's breeze and the sound of waves crashing wipe away all my fatigue from traveling. As if the room said, "Aloha, welcome to Maui." You get an amazing panoramic view of the ocean from the lanai, with no buildings in sight. The pictures don't do justice. We saw perfect sunset from the room positioned right in between islands Lanai and Molokai. I can only imagine how much more wonderful this view is during the whale season! This unit is very cozy, attractively decorated and themed perfectly for a Hawaiian vibe. The bed and sofas are comfy. Having the beach and excellent snorkeling right below was awesome. The pool is very plain and small, especially when you see the pool next door. But it worked for a nice dip in the jacuzzi for us. Who cares about a pool when you have Kaanapali Beach calling your name behind you. The location of Maui Kai was also very convenient for us. Overall I was extremely happy with our stay here, and wanted to stay longer! I highly recommend this rental, and, please take good care of it for my next stay here.
