Not up to past standards
Rating Details:
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We have stayed here since the Cottages opened and always had a pleasant experience in the cottages we stayed in. This year was very different. Upon arriving to the cottage, it was apparent it was not clean. The cottage had cobwebs and spiders and was beat up in general. There was also a gnat issue, which does occur at times, but this cottage had so many, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. There were gnats caught in cobwebs. Tad did come and place one glass of apple cider vinegar with dish soap in the kitchen and a sticky tape. The cleaners returned and did very little. I spent the rest of the day using a broom to take down webs and gnats. I then placed apple cider vinegar with dish soap in all the rooms and changed every day. It did help in most of the rooms but the one bedroom and bathroom had a smell and was never able to be cleared of the gnats or smell. We lost the use of that room and bathroom for the entire week. My teenage son and I shared the room with two twin beds for the trip. We did end our trip one night early as I was tired of dealing with the gnats and sharing a room. I replied back to an email asking if there were any issues with the cottage but never received a response back. As a loyal customer over many years, I was disappointed, especially due to the cost of the cottage. I would still stay in a cottage again, but never the one we stayed in this year. It needs a deep clean and repairs in areas.
